Cotto just cant avoid the ropes when hes doing his "pure-boxing" routine. He doesnt know how to keep it in the center of the ring or turn opponents. He gives ground way to easily.

Good pt. about the clinching too.

There isn't a high probability, but certainly a solid probability of a stoppage. Cotto does not have a great chin, or much defense. Pacquiao is fast as lightinging, and packs a pretty good punch. The combination of this is why a KO by Pac is realistic. If Pac keeps the fight in the middle of the ring, Cotto is going to be eating a lof of punches that he won't see coming. I don't care if Pac is moving up in weight, when you're hitting people with fast and powerful shots that they don't see coming, a KO is always a possiblity. Now if Cotto had a good chin and/or a a good defense, I would never predict a KO.

Exactly A recent example of this is Pauli-Diaz. Juan brought non-stop pressure but Paulie was boxing circles around him literally. He kept off the ropes for the most part and kept the fight in the middle of the ring for large stretches. Cotto needs to learn this.

Bollocks don't go against Pacman again if you did before in his last 3 you know he will win this hands down, and it will be a knockout within 6, he's always down to surprise us.

All the time? He WENT UP in weight to fight MAB. He WENT UP in weight to fight Morales. He WENT UP in weight by 2 weight classes to fight DLH...who in his previous fight fought at 150lbs, 3lbs below. I love how Pac has become so godlike in these forums...it is now the little guy picking on the big guys. lol. Pac went up 2 weights and ODLH went down 1...thats as fair as it gets. Pac went down in weight against Hatton. Pac is going up 5lbs, Cotto is going down 1lbs from his last fight...

In all scenarios, Pac was at disadvantage...but of course Pac is superman so he should be able to beat Hopkins next right...a LHW? Asking him to meet at SMW would be unfair to Bernard...nevermind the fact that Pac would be giving up reach, height and 3 weight classes! lol.

Ive only seen Cotto clinch a handful of times. Good for boxing, but bad gameplan when he needs to. I dont understand the KO predictions favoring Pac. Pac has tremendous power, but @ 147 Cotto has proven to have a good chin. He will weather the storm in the first 2-3 rounds and slowly breakdown the Pacman. By the 5 rd. Pac will know he is in over his
head and mentally breakdown as well. This will be a TKO stoppage with either Roach or the Ref calling a mercy stoppage.

Cotto is going to get shocked. He ain't mexican. He can't handle power like a mexican.
Mexicano can take a lot of punishment like ya wouldn't believe because they got heart and they eat alota (corn)that's why they got heck of a chin chewin corn.I am sorry he is probably going down early like Hatton.

I don't know about that. But I bet we'll find out alot in the first round.

    Can Cotto catch Pac?

Can Pac land hard accurate shots on Cotto?

Can Pac handle Cotto's strength and power?

How does Pac's power affect Cotto?

    Man I can't wait.

If they can both take each others power...

It could be the most brutal welterweight fight of all-time...

    Ending both careers...

a stoppage is highly possible for both fighters.

but nobody is ending any1's career so take it easy.
