Billy Nelsons work can't be ignored. Its impossible to select a best trainer. There are so many good trainers out there. Your either a good trainer, or your not.
they all have there strengths and weaknesses, from a technical point of view i don't think we have that many world class trainers, we've got very good coaches who understand the mentality of a fighter and what to do and say at the right times like McCracken and Gallagher who you'd want in your corner, they're just very calming influences. Not many stand outs really. I would say though that Richie Woodhall is the future, great trainer in the making if he isn't already.
Brian Lawrence did pretty well with Akinwande up to the Lewis fight... not sure who was in the corner for that one. A lot of what makes a good trainer depends on the fighters they have. There is a school of thought at the moment that an average domestic fighter can go to Freddie Roach and become a superstar. Additionally, certain styles are made for certain trainers. Hamed was made for Ingle..... Hatton for Graham, Lewis for Steward and so on.
I think McCracken is the most promising one out there. Its difficult to comment on these guys in the gym but purely from cornerwork I think his advice is right up there and his manner is perfect.

looks like that overated paddy in sheffield. has trained a host of champions over the years' best one was naz from a 7 year old' carn't be bothered nameing them all.most recently has trained kell brook from 9 year old' to british champ' people in the know rate him and voted him' boxer of year 'prob britains best hope for world honers' i recon paddy has more going on ' than a man who trains 60 slaps a minite.
