The wind up highlights at the end of the telecast were all of Browne getting owned....shot after shot....did somebody not let know the broadcast team know who won on the cards in Browne's fight...lol..it took a loooooong time for the scores to be annouced....:huh Lets be honest here...Browne struggled throughout the entire fight and never looked in control. Total home town decision, the Vice Governor would have every reason to go home and tell his Pacman compatriots not to come to Aussie land to fight....those wide decisions make us look like country bumpkins in the world of boxing.
Well, I asked Belandres manager, Manny Pinol last night if he would be bringing any other boys to Aust to fight. He smiled and said NO.
For my two-cents worth, I agree with Ash, at no time did Browne look like he had that fight. The Filo was robbed - easily. As per another post, the reff'ing tonight was shithouse. How did Ganoy's opponent get to hold the rope for so long - disgraceful! **** me, the ref had Browne's cut from a head clash, yet clearly shown it was from a punch. Please.... absolute shithouse!!!
Definitely agree re the holding. But the reffing was sh*thouse. Quite a few low blows and hits on the break allowed with no deductions. Have no idea how that judge possibly got 79-75. And after watching the telecast on Saturday, jeez Fenech was on Awad's nuts. Calling shots that missed as scoring. Not a robbery, but thought that one should have gone the other way.
agreed and its not the first time i reckon a Philo has been ipped off in Oz.the poor *******s are merely used to pad aussie fighters records.
What do you expect? Fenech was yelling instructions to Awads corner during the fight whilst he was apparently commentating. Nice look of impartiality huh? Joke.
