I know this maybe a stretch but its something that i can see happening and i hope it does.

1 He beats green for his IBO cruiserweight belt
2 He wins the rematch with B-HOP currently ranked no1 ranked LHW and no4 P4P.
3 He avenges his lose over Glen Johnson
    - Or he beats Chad Dawson depending on who wins there fight.
    Then retires

Question is where does he make it to in your P4P ATG list

Easily makes top 15 in mine.

Joe gets into the top 25 based on his total dominence of the SMW division but Despite his win over a NOT SHOT jones his other opponents lose him some standing

Calzaghe needs a time machine to crack the top 50

If Jones beats Hopkins twice that counts for a lot considering who Hopkins has beaten. And if he were to beat Chad Dawson in his 40s he'd be in the top 5 because it would guarantee his status as the best boxer of all time in the LHW division. There are other great boxers yes but you also have to look at how convincingly Roy Jones beats Hopkins, and take his age into account.

it took one....ONE mind you...post for the calzaghe fans to get in here. ya'll never miss an opportunity do you :yep

haha well how bout this....:stir we know why he fought jones and who he was *supposed* to fight instead of jones :stir

but w/ respect to the man's thread...i dunno man he'd be up there. i think a win over dawson would be more impressive since the kid is in his prime and assuming he can take care of business before hand would be undefeated. but i know a hopkins win would be something real special for him. career essentially took off w/ a win over bhop and he could book end it w/ another. would be sweet.

hell why not get toney to come down as well?? you know he would be up for it.

most people have rjj where he's at b/c of his super human abilities he displayed in his prime. adding some more names to his resume at this point of his career would certainly help his cause and may bump him up a few spots but most people's opinion of him and where he ranks is pretty well settled.

Sorry, credibility is shot there. What standing have you docked him? Do you have any CLUE the caliber of fighters you are putting him above?

RJJ wins over BHop and Dawson would be very significant, though, especially if the BHop is at 175 (as opposed to 190).

Jones has no Chin and no heart. This is not going to happen.

Im sorry, but Jones resume simply doesn't stack up against the greatest fighters in history. As I already said, he has amazing talent. But fighters are judged on who they beat, not who we think they could beat.
