    EXCELLENT POST!

but the PBF fans REJOICE as if they beat JMM on his own weight category.

PBF can't even shed 2000 grams.

    WHAT A SHAME !!!!

A great comeback fight, a great TUNE UP. This must not be seen as anything more than a tune up. Many different angles must be considered:

    a) Mayweather was coming back after two years.
    b) Marquez was the P4P #2 and a Hall of Famer.
    c) Marquez almost defeated Pacquiao.
    d) Mayweather wanted someone easy, but with a good name.
    e) Marquez was smaller (147 vs. 135) and, in theory, weaker.

Basically Mayweather chose to fight a guy that he could beat, but that would be a decent name on the resume. Intelligent choice.

I would have preferred another tune up fight like Mayweather/Berto or Mayweather/Collazo.

Is that what it should only be???? A tune-up fight with nothing more to it????

You will be amazed how Mayweather received so much credit after the fight. Just look at the posts of Rand, EZE, ULI-uli and many idiotic north american writers who sudenly bumped Mayweather to PFP no. 1 on the basis of that fight.

Floyd was juss a better fighter...2lbs wouln't have made much difference...He would be favorited over juss about ne fighter from 154 down...ALSO NOW THAT HIS TUNEUP IS OUT THE WAY U SHOULD BE PATIENT AND WAIT AND SEE WHO HE FIGHTS NEXT..

FIGHTING MANNY WOULD BE A GOOD FIGHT NEXT AND THAN THE MOSLEY FIGHT...(COTTO SHOULD BEAT MANNY NEXT MONTH THOUGH SO I DUNNO IF PAC WILL GET IT)

After 2 years out Floyd came back to fight the 2nd best p4p fighter in the world. Alot of people talk about size but size never beat Marquez, skill did. Floyd dominated but showed he ain't changed and he still don't have no killer instinct. He pot shots, breaks a guy down and will only try to put punches together to put his opponent away IF he has been broken down enough.

Marquez challenged Mayweather, and Floyd accepted. They both agreed to the terms of the fight. Mayweather came back and looked alot better than I had anticipated against the number 2 p4p fighter who was only 2lbs lighter the day before the fight. Anybody that knows boxing knew Floyd would win, however I don't think anyone thought that it would be that one sided. The main thing that Floyd accomplished in this fight was that he gained the upper hand in negotiations with Pacquiao, if Manny gets past Cotto, and they meet in the ring next year. Its a numbers game, if it doesn't make dollars, then it doesn't make sence!

Marquez could be the 2nd best in the world but he is a lightweight. Had Floyd waited a day more before announcing his return, he could have fought Pac who has already fought in the JW/W class.

Full of hypes... nothing more. We were duped into believing that it is a mega technical fight. It's a highway robbery!
