Duran would not fight so cautiously against a guy inferior to Hagler, but even if he did I'd still give him a chance because he STILL mounted a better offense than Hopkins and Spinks combined.

You guys are dreaming. Taylor is a completely different match up for Duran. He would have won an easy decision.

This is a puzzling match up, MW Duran has problems with speed and jabbers, but Duran would also likely slip allot of Taylors shots and turn the pace up when Taylor got lazy/tired. I think Taylor edges the decision myself

Why must you always take everything at total face value? He means the Duran that was in the same shape, with the same capabilities, in the same frame of mind and motivation as the one who fought Hagler. He doesn't mean that Duran would make every single move he made against Hagler regardless of what Taylor did. You sound thick and/or flat out stubborn when you make posts like this, just saying.

That's because he had a different opponent in front of him, Robbi. Try to think outside the tiny box you confine people's words in.

Why does he need to say the Duran who fought Hagler then? Maybe best to say a peak Duran at middleweight.

It's just meant the Duran that fought Hagler, mentally and physically Robbie. He was in great physical shape and was fired up mentally as well.

He would have given a great account of himself vs whoever possibly excepting Hearns.
