I'd love to see somebody make a case for this guy. He seems like a good dude.

It takes more than that. IMO the winner of Abraham/Taylor will win this tournament

I think Taylor stands a good chance of making it past Abraham, but he doesn't match up that well with others in the tourney.

If Taylor makes it past Abraham specially if its by wide UD, I give him a really good chance of winning the tournament. That maybe the only thing he needs to motivate himself again.

It comes down to styles. He matches up really well with Abraham. I think he runs into a wall with Kessler.

I'll go out on a limb and say he very well has the potential to win the tourney, but i'm not 100%. I'll wait and see what he does against Froch, if he wins big then alot of people will change their picks.

Dirrell has the makings of a champion. The question is whether it's simply too early in his career for him to compete against guys like Kessler, guys with skill, great power and experience. The only area of Dirrell's game that I'm not confident in is his ability to deal with pressure, and more importantly, pressure with power. If he can mature and deal with that effectively he could most certainly win this.

I believe dirrell could very well win this tourney and I'm very interested in how the others counter the style that he brings. I don't believe hardly anyone is gonna outbox him. For the most part, I feel that if he's standing at the end of the fight he most likely won.

I think we haven't seen how good dirrel is. It seemed to me like he was playing around with every fighter I saw him in against. I've seen him somewhat vulnerable early but when he get's it going he's very hard to deal with (especially if he wants to run and popshot). I think he is very good at fighting in close with sharp precise shots from both hands while ducking and slipping punches. At range, he's gonna beat his opponent to the punch most of the time. Left hand leads bombing away after the jab is established.

I feel that he will be in the finals but I have a hard time seeing anyone coming out of the tourney without a loss. Too many stylistic match ups.

If I could choose two people, Dirrell would be one of them. You may note this for future reference.

Well, in about a 24-hour period, Froch has compared himself to Hagler, Hearns and Leonard and Dirrell has compared himself to Ali. Someone is in store for a serious, serious letdown come the conclusion of this tournament.

Taylor has NO chance in hell in beating Kessler. The only thing Taylor has on Kessler is his athletic ability. Technically he's at a major disadvantage.

Taylor cannot and will not beat Kessler. Every aspect of their respective styles and strengths rules it out.
