yea, either mtagwa is that good or juanma just aint. hopefully juanma just had an off night because boxing needs him to be as good as advertized.

he dont have to crack the chin to beat him. he should have outboxed such a limited fighter but instead he seemed off his game and sloppy.

Lopez could have made this fight a bore fest and took an easy UD but he stood in the trenches and traded.
Great for us fans not so good for his brain.

The fight actually reminded me of Dawson/Johnson.

for one mtagwa doesn't do anything great. he just does alot of things good. he doesn't have great power or great technique but what he does have is alot of heart and sometimes fighters like mtagwa get by with more heart than skill. i wouldn't call him a journeyman because he's a good contender just not an upper echelon contender.

That was at maddison Square gardens. Billy Dib totally dominated him and had the fight gone another couple of rounds, would have finished him off. it was a very dominant performance.

Juanma is a special prospect, but I wonder if he has a plan B when he can't knock his opponent out?? He's got to be careful not to fall in love with his power, as he has good enough boxing skills to not rely on it....he could've boxed that guy to a comfortable UD IMO.

He still has lots to learn!!!

Well Vasquez didn't look good himself, going pretty much life and death against a fomer flyweight whom Viloria mopped the floor with. I say let Lopez and Vasquez fight next.
