At this stage what is the point. A few years back after Toney had beaten Holyfield then yeah, why not? But now Toney looks all of his 40 years.

Christ how many pointless Toney vs Wlad/Vitali Klitschko threads have there been on this forum?? The only mildly interesting question is whether Toney would get KTFO or not.

Vitali would hand Toney the beating of his life. I would pay to see it though

....it would be intresting to watch thats for sure..no one has seen toney knocked out are even tko'd,.everyone would be expecting vitali to knock him out..but its not easy knocking toney out..and toney can still counter punch with the best of them..if they want a fight to create some excitment this is it.,it should not be to hard a fight to make.

Well... first we have to know what a 210lbs, focused James Toney at age 41 has left. We simply don't know that.

At any rate, I think Vitali would win this one. And I'm a Toney nuthugger. The question is, given Toneys awkward and elusing style, would Toney give Vitali a good fight? A tougher fight than Vitalis three past opponents did? I believe a focused, somewhat in shape James Toney would give Vitali a tough fight and make him look bad a times, but ultimately Toney would lose a decision. Toney would go the distance, and that's more than what can be said of almost all of the other HW contenders out there. If Toney has something left, that is... it might also be too little too late for James.

Oquendo schooled Toney. . .even with the rabbit punch deduction I still had him up by 2 or 3 rounds. It was 8 rounds to 4 or 7 to 5. I just don't see how anyone could have scored it differently.

Toney had trouble with peter , batchelder , rahman and oquendo .
not even mentioning fights in the further past.

    bad mismatch. vitali by tko.

Toney will get KO'd for the first time, his reflexes and defence are so far gone from what they were. Would have been interesting whne Toney was good.

The only fight I'd like to see Toney in now is versus Haye, I think stylistically its a great fight for him and if he has antyhing left at all and is fully motivated he could do it. Also might just get unrelenting punishment.

Got a feeling Toney is going to carry on until he gets knocked out.
