Personally i think any of them will be a good contest.:good

The Alex Leapaifight interests me from a sluggers point of view i must admit....it will show me exactly how stable Camerons jaw is. I think he gets rattled easier with each fight, but the Tua fight is nothing to go by since Tua does that to the best of jaws eh.

As for the Sol fight......that would be great too!! would show who owns the best set of whiskers and who has the better skills.:hey

Yep after Sol vs Kirby.....Sol and Shane would be great....Tua would hurt 99% of HW's in the world if he fights like he did against Camaron.

Now I think about it we may see Sol VS Col II so maybe its Cameron Vs Chauncy for the NZ title with the winners to fight off for the aussie VS Kiwi bragging rights :good

To be fair to Shane, he was never going to world-class and he would have known that, as well as his management who you are targetting.

If he couldn't beat Tua, after a 2-yr hiatus, how was he going to go in a credible title shot against the Russians or even a proper world-rated top 10 where he wouldn't have got $500k!!!

Please, he would have got a belting, and he wouldn't have got any more than the $500k for fighting either of the Russians also.

The boxing world isn't this 'everyone makes shitloads at the top' game that a lot of fans think it is. I know for a fact of world-title challengers getting offered as little as $10k, simply because the carrot of a world-title shot is there.

Shane would have kept making $10k a fight for the next 50 fights to mke his Tua payday. Actually no, give him $20k per fight (I'm being generous) and he still goes around another 25 times!!!!!

Make no mistake, Shane was calling for this fight, and for quite some time, and his own inner pride would have wanted the fight. If ever there was going to be a time for him to pick the apple from the tree in relation to beating Tua, it was off the 2yr break already noted.

Hindsight is a beautiful thing, but please - Cameron at 31 and judged against his ability, this was his best payday he was ever going to receive, past, present and future.

So, in summary, a domestic fight for $500k is bad management is it???

    Bad management my ass!!!

P.S: Let me just add, there's no way Cameron should have even taken such a battering if that stupid old ref they had bobbing around the ring like a teabag had jumped in at least 5-6 punches earlier when Tua was unloading and we'd all be saying "oh well, Tua just too strong".

The only reason it looked so bad was the ref not moving quick enough in his a-frame and stopping the fight sooner. Not being funny, a ref like Phil Austin who has openly stated his position on fighter safety would have stopped that after 5-6 good Tua shots as the result / ending was inevitable.

If its only about the money then yeah...thats good management.

I just assumed it was a foolish move by a team that thought they had a shot at the title. In that respect it was still foolish pitting a guy like Cameron against a dangerous puncher like Tua.

Given that the Klits are fighting anyone who puts there hand up Cameron may well get a shot i suppose....... but with 2 KO losses on his record he will have to be happy with getting how much did you say??

BTW how much did Hoppa get for fighting MaCall? you must know how much
    eh?

I'm not involved, nor know anyone in Hoppa's camp, but I would safely assume it was bugger all, as McCall is a no one anymore and Hoppa would have been looking at it as a potential stepping stone, which as we all saw turned out to be a fizzer and he was KO'd bigtime.

Fight againsy Chauncy?!?! are you joking?!?! Chauncy has an average amoumt of skill for a bum off the street which is better than most heavyweight New Zealand boxers. Mind you he did better against Solis than Barrett did. But Cameron has to call out the top ten. He gets nothing for beating the bums back in Australasia. Likewise Leapai is now ranked in the top 15 WBO so I want to see him calling out someone ranked higher than him. Screw fighting shane cameron. How about stepping up before his time is gone.

Whats the problem.....If Cameron can grab the kiwi title off Chauncy and then beat the current aussie champ then hes back to "thinking" about calling out the top ten.

Cameron has no hope of fighting the top 10 after the Tua loss :-(

I'd be surprised if it was even 10k

good luck to cameron for getting what he did. Plenty of better fighters wouldn't earn near that in their whole careers.

Cameron grab the title of Chauncy?!?!? His problem was he had that bum as a sparring partner for Tua. Remember Cameron vacated that title. Current Aussie champ?!?! you mean Col Wilson knocking out John Hopoate?!?!. You are having a laugh. No disrespect to Col, he is a true champ. But screw that.

Cameron vs anyone in top ten now. He has **** boxing skills but has good chin, good power, and come to box in shape. I favour him over arreola or most of the unproven journeymen in the top ten.
