All Khan has picked up is a good trainer teaching him to cover up and run more to protect his glass chin.
Good point!! One shouldn't judge how good a fighter is just by looking at how fast he knocks out fighters. If a fighter gets caught by a good punch we shouldn't be surprised that it results in a KO. Sometimes it could be early sometimes late. And it's also a matter of style. For example, If Wlad clubbed his way into Barrett's, then the fight would've probably been over in 1 round but this isn't Wlad's style.
Barrett took the fight on 3 days notice or something, did he not? If it ruins Haye's stock then it ruins the other top heavies who took longer than 2 rounds to dispose of him also.
?? you do realised that even a journeyman cliff couser who loses as much as he wins ko'd Barrett in 2 rounds before haye couldnt you say couser ruined him before haye?
Wlad, like Hopkins has really had two primes.. his physical prime which was 00-02 give or take a year.. and his boxing prime which I'd honestly would say has been from 06-Current. Hops did the same thing, and same with Wlad I think his boxing prime would be his physical prime. Wlad of course is much younger than Hopkins.
hopkins has longevity, wlad has adapatability that has enabled him to continue fighting on top. hopkins is still dangerous but taylor beating him really signalled the end of any 'prime hopkins' argument.
This fight doesn't mean a whole lot as regards Hayes abilities...but I'm sure a lot will be made of it. It's Hayes attitude that makes him unpopular with many people here, hence the negative comments. His abilities at heayvyweight are still largely unknown.
This logic is so flawed e.g. if Valuev ko's Haye in 10 does this make Carl Thompson better than Valuev because he did it in 5 If Haye fought Arreola and stopped him in 8 Would he be better than Vitali These constant comparisons that appear on this forum everytime 2 fighters are linked by a common opponent are just moronic.
