I thought Barrera scored a KD towards the end, if i remember it was not a correct call but still a KD.
Morales was denied a clear KD in round 7 in this fight but he still won clearly even without being given it IMO.
Besides the point, Divac. The only reason I felt the need to point out the commentators feelings on the fight is to make the point that listening to the audio would in no way contribute to my belief that Barrera won the fight. Close the book on that one. One more time, I didn't watch it with the audio for two reason. It was late and I'd never listened to the HBO version before, and secondly, I don't think it contributed to my scoring at all. Close the book. But they weren't. Morales was credited as getting the better of Marco in the first half of the fight, Marco was the one criticized for not engaging, and despite myself and Lampley beliving round 11 belonged to Marco, Lederman scored it for Morales. Perhaps. But irrespective of what you think, HBO thought, or the obvious delusion of Bill Butcher, I scored the fight fairly and had Marco one point up. That isn't too say the fight shouldn't have been given to Morales, I could have seen a victory either way. The fact is, after two fights, it was 1-1 and that's probably the way it should be.
If delusional is believing that Barrera never beat Morales 3-0 then **** yes, Im one deluded *******.
I think you're delusional when you consider the verdict of the second fight to be a robbery - as if Morales did enough to win the fight handily. :verysad Not in my diagnosis, chief. You don't see me whining like a school girl when you claim the third fight was a draw. These were close fights, not repeats of Chavez vs. Whitaker.
TOTALLY delusional, and absolutely committed to your delusion. Hell you were talking to yourself in this thread for a good long while one page ago. I mean, you are SUCH an EM nuthugger it's frightening. Re EM charging MAB if his back was turned... of COURSE he would. Protect yourself at all times, and the round was still in progress. Good lord, I bet you dream of EM riding up in a white horse and carrying you away to a castle when you sleep, at least once a week
Closer than Chavez-Whitaker no doubt but when you give one fighter 8 rds & it goes to the other guy, it kinda leaves you feeling something was wrong, which it was, no point in a big money rubber match if one fighter is 2-0 up, especially when one of the fighters have been crying on the shoulder of anyone that would listen for 2 & half yrs, letting it be known that he felt he was `robbed` in the 1st fight, you know its true, Barrera knows in his heart that he lost that fight, why cant some of his fans admit it too ? Even Bladerunner says it was the clearest win of the trilogy & that it went to the wrong man & he likes Barrera more than Morales.
Because EM didn't win 8 rounds, or anything close to that. They split the first 6, MAB dominated the second 6. You can't get EM winning 8 rds out of that.
Morales fights with honour & within the rules at all times, he would never attack any fighter - even MAB - from behind, there lies the difference between the 2 men right there. Ps. any colour of horse will do, it dont have to be white, thats racist, bernard :-(
Yeah, you agree with the judges when it suits, where they also on the money in the 1st fight ?... I already know your answer to that, your more a MAB hugger than I am for EM, fact. Morales got the better of both halves of the fight, he had an answer for anything Barrera tried that night, a clear victory.
The differences are this. Barrera puts his career first, which is why he will carry on fighting if the round is not over, despite his opponent stopping, and which is why he'd never allowed himself in a war with a McCulllough, Chavez, or Hernandez quality of fighter. Barrera would have boxed the sox off all three of them, and if the crowd have an issue with Barrera displaying his dominance, sad for them. Barrera spent 40 fights as a professional giving the fans wars. He can be forgiven.
I think you're wrong on that one, EM has been shown to have a mean streak as well and I think just about ANY boxer will keep hitting his opponent as long as the round is ongoing, including EM. It's stupid not to, and EM isn't stupid.
I think they were wrong in the first fight, as do most other people. I wouldn't call it a robbery though, it was a very close fight. Saying EM won the second half of the second fight though... that's just insane. That's teabagger insane.
