Good move by Freddie. Without the low blows he would have been stopped by Zab. Stopped by quintana. And would be nowhere. Plus Clottey walks all over him if there was no low blows, body slams and leg drops thrown in.

Ha. I knew Freddie would do something like this prior to the fight. I was thinking it would be the same old glove routine he pulled with Barrera and JuanMa.

Hell yeah. He knows Judah was coming for that ass and he hit him low. If they wanna say that first one was a mistake then fine. But what about that 2nd one? That **** was so intentional and obvious. I believe that and some other fouls took the steam out of Judah and he was pretty much done after that. He never recoverd from the first 2 low blows and that was obvious.

    Nothing wrong with this.

He is just protecting his guy, and doing some psych war againts Cotto.

Cotto does have a history of low blows smart move by Roach.

I agree....I mean this boxing, elbows, shoulders, butts and low blows come with the territory but they shoudln't be intentional. Being DQ'd off top is a bit much but nothing wrong with highlighting tatics of an opposing fighter before the sound of the 1st bell so it's out there and the ref will be more aware. Joe is a good ref...I think he'll do just fine with regulating the match.

Purpose or not....if one is known for these actions it should be brought to the attention of the ref...before or during the fight. Holy said he didn't head butt on purpose. But everyone of his opponents expressed concern before facing off with Evander.
