    Geez that's a bit harsh isn't it??

I would think Michael is far from a gate-keeper?? I would think that Michael in self assessement would say a couple of results he had there for the taking, he didn't take, but at 29, he is far from a gate-keeper and now as WBO interim champion, he is positioned for the right fights ahead.

I think he get's a shot at JMM or even a Ricky Hatton in the UK where he will certainly be well received as the fans would remember the Graham Earl fight, and he would get good coin for a shot against Hatton who will draw being his homeland.

If Rocky and Brendon are smart, they will negotiate Rocky's purse in pounds and convert it back to Aussie dollars!!!!

Seriously though, a win over JMM really puts Rocky's name up in lights as fans and the big tv networks will love his 'Thunder - Gatti', all-action type style.

With all due-respect, you can have Vic D, but Katsidis is the one Aussie due to make the biggest noise on the world-stage over the next 12-24 months.

Whats good is that Rocky when he prepares and trains is extremely dedicated. Roach would love that...

Agree Roach is the best in the world - by far and improves any boxer in my opinion, but what is Brendon Smith doing wrong that warrant's Rocky moving on???

rockys training methods are known to be a bit unorthodox, but nonetheless effective.

  6. katsidis vs murray would be a great fight

kat would be just too strong though

kat vs earl was one of the best fights i've seen live

What people fail to remember is that Rocky would be struggling to get Roach one on one for any significant length of time. He's happy with Smith and they've reached some great heights.

    definitely

but he is chasing the best in the world - can't hurt to have one of, if not the best, trainers in the world.

I imagine he would have a large stable of fighters to pick and chose from in who he wants to train - so he would need to see something special in mk

I don't see where I answered my own question. I said in my opinion Roach is the best and stand by that as such. I then qustioned as to what Brendon Smith is doing wrong which was a question to others who were saying Rocky should go to Roach...

If Rocky is happy with Brendon and together they are getting results, who are we to suggest changing??? 'If it ain't broke' as they say....

Rocky should never have lost to Casemayor. If there was a plan B then he might have won...

You said roach improves any boxer - so by that logic if Rocky was to be trained by Roach he would become a better boxer :think

Had nothing to do with his trainer. Katsidis had a brain snap and took responsibility for it after the fight.

Brendan told me that Mick decided to jump on Cassamayor when the round started because he was looking at Cassamayor in his corner and he looked gone and was very slow to get off his stool to begin the round.

Obviously a big error in judgement but it had nothing to do with Brendan.

I actually thought Kats looked a bit more tidy against Escobedo. Maybe the addition of Nonito Donaire snr to the corner has a positive effect as well.

Granted. I do remember reading something along those lines after the fight. But then part of the Trainers job is also to ensure his fighter ALWAYS listens to him. Thats something PacMan and Roach do quite well....
