Yes and no. He raises his hands to let the opponent know to do it again coz he liked it. He wants to exchange again.
Exactly! Its hard for me to envision Pac winning a give and take battle with Cotto, where he's going to take a good ammount of shots. If the Pacquiao-Cotto fight turns out to be a g.reat fight, I cant see it any other way than Pac being taken out on his shield. In other words, it the fight turns out to be great, that means Cotto would have been landing his shots. .....cant see Pacquiao outlasting the naturally stronger Cotto. Of course, its a different story if Pacquiao plays it the way he did the MAB rematch, and make Cotto come to him as he darts in and out...... .......in that type of scenario, its certainly possible that Cotto gets frustrated and tires down the stretch...... .....getting gasses actually happened in both Cotto's fights with Mosley and Margarito.....so its certainly possible.
no its not, ive seen pacman he mostly does that when he is hurt by the shots, maybe it helps him more stable when he gets hits with flushes, its not a hyping the other fighter technique.
Well there must be a reason why he hasn't been hit flush right? Getting hit flush either knocks you down, or knocks you out. Doesn't matter how good you're opponent is or how bad he is. Point is, he needs to keep his guard up and do his thing, same goes to Cotto, who may have been hit flush but from a punch he saw coming, thus enabling him to survive the punch. But what if it was coming from a punch that he doesn't see? How does he react and is it fast enough to prevent Pac from going to finishing mode? This is going to be a great fight!:good
I can confirm that Pac man took a flush shot in the Pac man vs Hatton fight. I think Hatton threw a short hook and it definatley caught him flush. Pac mans legs went for about a second but his head cleared very quickly. It was quite a hard punch but i am sure Cotto will match and better the shot power. I actually think the way to destroy Pac man is to attack his body. His head movement is too great to land consistant head shots.
I think hes right. im pretty sure ricky hit him early with something, and pac for a second looked shocked.
I think hatton landed a good shot on la . It didn't hurt him, he was just off balance then beat the **** out him
What alarming is that hes done this more as hes gone up in weight. He was frequently doing it in the oscar fight but not that many times against marquez where he was being hit far more often. I think its partly to do with the fact that oscar wasnt landing jack on pacquiao and when he did, pacquiao acknowledged it as if to say, 'yeah now were in a fight'. One thing i have noticed from watching the oscar, hatton and diaz fights is that the jab still stops pacquiao and makes he think twice although people tend to land a hell of a lot less of them these days.
