The OP makes some valid points, but as he has demonstrated in other threads, he is as biasedly pro-Dirrell as the raving Froch fans are for their boy.

Most of us objective posters can accept that Dirrell is inexperienced at the top level, does have a question mark over his chin and power, but has the skills and more importantly speed to give Froch real trouble. While on the other hand Froch has power, heart, chin and experience in his favour.

The heart of the matchup simply comes down to stylistic advantage (Dirrell) vs intangibles and experience advantage (Froch).

Exactly my point lol well put dude. :good
The delusional English Boxing fan who has never even seen a Dirrell fight let alone studied the guys style will come out with crap about a crowd affecting a talented fighter, a crowd might affect an English fighter more so than a crowd might affect a talented fighter.

Dirrell already knows what he needs to do in that ring and is confident of doing it.

The crowd will probably energise him even more come to think of it. He has nothing to lose in any case because he is going in as a complete unknown quantity to these british fans of Froch.

Alot of the same British fans were the same ones who were picking Hatton to beat Mayweather and to me that was just laughable to say the least, I was so confident of Hatton not being able to beat Mayweather that I made about £2000 from work colleagues and personal so much for their delusion about Hatton and the English Hope syndrome, Dirrell is not living in hope, he is going to Nottingham to do what Taylor couldn't do and thats end Froch's title reign

I was not trying to abuse you dude I actually appreciate you countering my posts, its what boxing fans do we debate over our different viewpoints so let me leave out the slurs so we can have a clean debate.

The point you made about trainers was one that had me thinking about the other side too, I mean I am going by your logic here. Froch is trained by Robert Mccracken, now how many world champions has Robery Mccracken produced? or lets say how many fighters has he trained for world title fights? I mean Froch doesn't even listen to instructions most of the time. When Mccracken was telling him what to do against Taylor, Froch went out and did the complete opposite so as far as trainers go the training team itself can only do so much.

It is then down to the fighter to go in the ring and execute and I am pretty sure that if Dirrell gets into a sticky situation his grandfather would have thought about a counter measure for his fighter, lets not forget that his grandfather had some dealing with Ali so he is not a complete unknown entity to the boxing community.

But with any training camp going into a big fight obviously it will be a new challenge which presents itself to the team, but the fighter is still the one who has to take the punches and execute the gameplan.

Another British poster who has probably only seen one youtube highlight reel from a biased fan with no idea about that fight,

Go and watch the entire fight and then come back into this thread.
Your opinion is like a bucket full of water with holes in the bottom

That's a good point: how many of you Youtube experts believed the unskilled Hatton would destroy Mayweather (again based on clippings from youtube)?

If anybody is retarted it certainly isn't me.

The point is all of these so called boxing experts was making so much out of Khan not having gone the distance many times before and they were stressing this point so this is not a lets prove him wrong game here I am stating facts. They kept on talking about it not me. I just highlighted it.

That's exactly the point. Froch didn't look himself in the first four rounds or so against Taylor (obviously it's then opinion how much of this we attribute to class of opposition, to different surroundings, etc) and didn't fight a smart fight. Froch and McCraken, if they're smart, will have learnt from that in their preparation and in their execution. Dirrell and his trainer have yet to have a learning experience at that level. It's an unknown. They might not need it. They might be able to have it during the Froch fight, yet still be good enough to win (as Froch did v Taylor). But it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Dirrell might not fight his best fight against Froch because of a lot of the factors that you are largely dismissing.

You might be right that Dirrell can overcome those factors, but you are wrong to dismiss them and, if they are smart, Dirrell's camp will have considered all of those factors.

Funny all Direll's fans think he will simply copy Taylor minus getting tired and KOd late... It might well be this is exactly Direll's fight plan, but don't you think Froch made some thinking too? If Taylor just withstood a few more shots and managed to survive the last round with Froch, he would have won... Imagine the Ref didn't stop the fight, Taylor going down with 10 or less seconds left and managing to beat the count no matter on how wobbly legs... Then we would have the second Bute-Andrade... I bet Froch has made some thinking too and also I bet Froch has made some adjustments and preparations to avoid this outcome. Trailing beside on points doesn't concern Froch really, but I don't think he'll wait until 12th round to finish Direll :)
