Hey Bigreg, If what I said actually comes to light...that Roach and Arum will SCREW this Mega-Fight all to Hell!!! Who at 140lbs should Pacman fight??? As of now, it may be the winner of Bradley vs Peterson...But I would like for Pacquio to fight another Southpaw: Devon Alexander....I gurantee you...Alexander will give Pacquio a Boxing Lesson!!!!
Pacquiao is not going to fight any non Top Rank fighter that has a legit shot at beating him unless it's a huge money fight. So if Pac says no to Mayweather, then expect him to fight Shane at a catchweight of around 142 lbs., or Lamont Peterson should he beat Bradley. A rematch with Cotto would be a strong possibility as well.
What kind of **** is that to say? What "black" fighters were in a real position to fight Pac anyway? I hope you don't mean that moron Nate Campbell that started this garbage. That's ridiculous. So Pac cherry picked an easy title to go after from Diaz, so what. He was entitled to that. Hell Floyd cherry picked the title he won at 140. No big deal. Being black, white, or purple isn't the issue here.
Disagree totally...After bulding a solid resume and fighting the Best from 130lbs-135lbs. Floyd began fighting for the MONEY. What would make more money than Fighting a Boricua Fighter in NYC...IT WILL SELLOUT IN MINUTES!!!!! Why do you think he fought Gatti in Atlantic City and Bruseles (Boricua) in Miami??
Devon Alexander is a good fighter. He has a bright future. With that being said, he's never seen ANYTHING like Manny Pacquiao in front of him.
Floyd doesn't need to fight anyone...he's all ready the greatest. So Cotto, Pac, Mosley should just keep fighting each other.
Very simple dude, everyone knew Gatti would be TOTALLY out matched and it wasn't gonna go the distance. And Gatti didn't have a history of being a dirty fighter in his back yard. Bruseles? Did you actually mention the Bruseles fight like that **** actually meant something? Nobody gave a **** about that guy. And as I said, Floyd would NOT fight Cotto at MSG.
Wasn't till he kicked Hatton's ass that he spoke on fighting at Wembley. A BIG one could be fighting Pac in Manilla...but Floyd would never do that.
...and technically Guzman is not a black fighter. If that was the case you could call Cotto a black fighter.
Well to be honest, even though I'm having a bit of a hard time being a Floyd fan due to his recent actions, him fighting Pac in Manilla or Cotto at MSG, would be fun(as far as us fans, especially for me I'm a New Yorker and live just a few stops away from MSG) but it might not be fair. We see more times than not what happens to a fighter when fighting in his opponents back yard. Andrade-Bute, Tszyu-Hatton, Hell I'll even dare say Cotto-Corely just to name a few. I don't wanna see Mayweather cheated or treated the way others have been. If he loses, it should be because he was finally beaten. Not because of an injustice. I wouldn't enjoy that.
Guzman was. He was being promoted as PAc's next big fight when he beat Soto, and Arum said he didnt want PAc to fight a runner. Campbell was just passed over as PAc chose Diaz.
Pacman's reign will end in this next fight coming up Nov. 14. He can't keep fighting big guys unless he weight drains them and will be exposed in this next fight for it. Although he demanded 145lbs, Cotto's been weighing in at 146lbs in his last few fights. 145 won't make a difference so Cotto will be normal come fight night and will bull Pacman into submission the way he did Quintana and Judah, or beat the **** out of him the way he did Malignaggi.
People want to believe that this is not an issue, but it is. I listed a bunch of black fighters PAc could've fought a while back. You missed out!
