it said in the paper today that matt macklin will defend his title on the 5th of dec in the national stadium.....also said hatton was talking to bob arum about a fight with pavlik next year:shock::happy
This looks like some safe matchmaking for Lee.The Frenchman has 4 ko's in 19 wins, not too impressive if you look at some of the stiffs he has fought. Its a safe way to move up the european rankings
I'm hoping Lee can practise fighting on the inside if it's necessary. Would also like to see some more snap in his right hand jab. His left has dynamite though. 1 last request would be to see him box at angles too. Other then that I think Lee has everything else - Heart chin and stamina and a fantastic attitude.
------------ I understand it is. Interesting to hear from Andy on the radio today saying he is sparring with Yuri Foreman and Joe Greene! 2 decent sparring partners. Foreman has speed and Greene has power!
Your right - they are cracking sparring for Lee, if smaller and a little lighter. Foreman especially, we all probablt saw what he did to James Moore. What make you say that the EU title is on the line?
Eu title is not on the line which is a shame but a win will move Lee up the European rankings lively and Mackilin going after a world title will have to give up the euro crown so that leaves it open for Andy to secure it early next year.
Not sure why the title is not on the line i was puzzled aswell, Also Andys tatoo is of the sacred heart i understand he is very religious. Saw a video on utube of the french dude he doesnt look great but he does look like the guy thats hard to beat, stuborn southpaw curls into a ball when attacked real cagey guy.A stoppage win would be very impressive of Lee
lads is says in the star today that Lee is being trained by Joey Gamache in New York I hope this is a good move for him
