So if im in a fight and im whippin the guys ass with only my fists and he picks up a weapon and knocks me out with it,Does that still count as a loss??:huh Cuz I def dont count that as a loss
A true Champion fights with a serious cut above his eye with 10rds still to go in a 12rd bout and goes the distance (Miguel Cotto vs Clotty). A true Champion takes on whoever they put in front of him (Margo,Mosley,Clottey,Judah,Torres ect.) and defeat all but Margo. As far as "if he can hurt you with his power he's got nothing I suggust watching the Cotto vs Mosley(ranked #1WW) Brother Man has All the Heart of a Champion and definitly a Warrior! Palante Boriqua!:thumbsup
I thought Clottey beat Cotto actually....if your getting a SD in MSG on Peurto Rican Pride Day...basicly YOU LOST!....at points in that flight he was looking like he was just about to Quit.... Margo Vs Cotto....Cotto quit...see him crawling backwards with his hands down not wanting any more of a beating!!!! I still think he has a good shot at KOing Pacman but lets face it the guy LOST!!! look at the mosely fight...I dont think it would have mattered if his gloves were loaded or not...Shane taxed that ass all night long!
I dont count the Margarito loss but I do count the mosley and clottey fights as losses so cotto is 32-2 in my eyes makes sense huh :thumbsup ...................neither does this thread
His loss is viewed in my eyes as one with an asterisk placed next to it. Logic tells me that Margo cheated so although Cotto fought the wrong fight and suffered a bad beating, the contest was compromised which taints the fight's legitimacy.
Technically yes, he should be in a legal sense. Problem is you can't undo the damage he took in that fight. It didn't ruin him, but I don't think he's the same fighter.
If you say cotto is unbeaten because of the margarito loss, then how do you explain the clottey win? LOL
What is this about :? Im a HUGE Cotto fan but to think of him as unbeaten is just absurd, best thing we can hope for is for him to go back to the drawing board and secure a rematch with Margarito... Everyone that still c's him as unbeaten needs to remember "Denial doesn't only refer to the river in Egypt":deal
Margarito did not 'cheat' in the Cotto fight as he was watched by an official as he wrapped his hands, so yes Cotto did lose the fight fairly and I do not see him as undefeated.
I don't really know what to make of that post. If Margarito admitted today that he had stuffed his gloves for that fight, would you still question Cotto's "Passion"? :think
