the oscar that fought pac would probably get beat by b-level guys at 140.....I would pick marquez by tko, if this version of oscar showed up again....
I think the main reason Oscar looked so terrible is cause Pac is a southpaw and he's light on his feet and has great footwork. Against anyone else who is even slightly more flat footed we would have had a fight on our hands. Can you really imagine Hatton would have beaten Oscar? And he was the best guy at 140, not a b-level guy.
That and Pacquiao/Roach's first part of the gameplan to take away Oscar's jab, leaving him with basically jack****.
Manny did have a great gameplan in that fight, and he executed it.... but seeing what de la hoya physically looked like from mayweather, forbes, and then pacquiao.....I think Hatton would have beat oscar.....oscar had one brief flurry in the 5th against manny, but even those shots looked to be weaken power shots...you could even see the decline in the forbes fight, where his face bruised like a banana.... The only weapon oscar would have is the jab, and I have feeling he would abondoned it, just like he did against manny, and the second half of the mayweather fight.....
Please.......if the same DLH who fought Pacquaio would have showed up to fight the Mayweather that fought Marquez.......my God, what an embarrassment that would have been...... ......as it is, Mayweather two years earlier on more than one occasion rocked DLH at his comfortable weight at 154 lbs......something Manny did'nt do to DLH and he hit him at will...... DLH would have hit the canvas vs Mayweather. ......now vs Marquez, its quite possible that DLH would compete for the first 4 or 5 rounds.....but after that, JMM high altitude training would just kick in and a beatdown of major proportions would have been in order. I say a late round KO for JMM, and DLH face being rearanged with the many different array of combination tha that would have sure to have hit DLH's face. That DLH just does'nt beat the elites, its that simple.
Marquez probably would too. He isn't a 140 pounder, hes barely even a lightweight. The shot drained Oscar vs Marquez is a tossup imo, but i would lean towards Oscar as Marquez is pretty hittable ever since he went above 130 pounds and he is too stationary to get out of the way of Oscar's jab. Pacquiao had a huge stylistic advantage over Oscar and is also genuinely well conditioned and physically perfect for around the 140 pound mark.
the DLH that fought PAc would have been competitive against many 140 pounders and would have beatent the flat footed and slow marwuez that fought PBF. Oscar's very poor performance against Pacquiao was due not only to the weight but also to the elusiveness of pacquiao and his quick speed, something JMM lacked when he moved up in weight
If we talking about Oscar Skeletor Hoya that fought against Pac, then Marquez ****ing knocks him out. Hatton also wins a decision whilst hugging Hoya to death.
I would have put up a good fight against Oscar myself .the Oscar that fought Pac was sickly looking and had no business being in the ring with anybody.
Oscar aint getting ko'd, tko'd from masses of punches maybe, and thats a very ****in big maybe. the dude's chin is pretty solid.
