That in a nutshellf determines the outtcome of the fight. If Williams canoct take Kelly's power(you might not be able to tell from the first flush shot because Pavlik is not a Hearns type one punch knockout guy...he's a thudding accumulation puncher where each good connect takes something out of you until one of them takes you out) then he's in trouble when Pavlik smells the blood. How Paul holds up after a few rounds of solid head and body connects will say it all. If he shows any signs of wearing down then he's finished. Now, it's not all to unrealistic that we can have a Duran-Barkley scenrio here where the naturally smaller man climbing up in weight finds a way to cope with the power and outwork his more powerful opponent(please will anyone not take this as me comparing Pavlik and Williams to Duran and Barkley in any other way but for the purpose of explaining likely scenarios) Much respect for Williams taking this fight. He very well could have remained inactive until something came up but instead he's chasing greatness by agreeing to climb into the ring with a middleweight mountain. Or as the saying goes: "No guts, no glory"
Pavlik may not be gifted as the prettiest boxer but he is a very awkward fighter, who will irritate the **** out of his opponents causing them to fall into his trap and then hit them harder than they ever been hit. Only reason Hopo beat him was he got ill before the fight and couldnt train, He also had no motivation for the fight as it was purely $$$$$ and probably thought he would walk through Hopo like 90% of the worlds population thought! He aint no pretty boy or big headed fanny he just original hard as F*$king nails!
Fantastic: A fan who actually notices the "traps" pavlik sets. My personal favorite is when he whistles a right hand past his opponents ear, and the guy moves right into a left hook.
Not only is Pavlik not gifted as fighter he's very very clumsy!! Pavlik also is very unatheletic thats why he's perfected the straight foward style of fighting with the (1-2) accompanied with power and pressure!!! Unfortunately boxers have to be versatile and able to adapt to different styles and thats just not what Pavlik is capable of doing!!
You learn that in your first week of boxing 101!! Thats simple stuff! kinda like learning the alphabet
Paul Williams spars with cruiser weights and heavies!!!! Have you guy's ever seen PDubz hurt or even buzzed!?!? Margarito weighed in on fight night at 161 when he fought Pdub!! Pavlik could bearly make 170 to fight Bhop so what makes you think he's gonna be some monster with sledgehammers for fist when he meets up with PW!!! Don't even talk about him KOing JT and Miranda cause those guys have NO!!! deffense!! NO more with that anti-biotics **** either!! Its getting sick and tired of seeing threads with Pavliks medical history!! Talk about his skills and what he needs to do to improve on his boxing since he was destroyed by Grandpa!!!
I have to say - I've been pretty guarded in picking Kelly in hypothetical matchups, but... The more I think about it, KP's straight rights will just have too much power for PW, who is used to smaller men hitting him.
NO -- you're not particularly good at **** talkin'; very limited and one-dimensional, but as far as the "vet" part goes, someone should definitely take you to the vet and find out what the **** is wrong.
