Tough to call Stylistically it favours Taylor, as does the weight IMO However Taylor has acquired the Judah habit of being competitive but finding a way to lose I literally can't choose, everything points to Taylor but he is missing that certain something that makes him unbackable
I'm leaving this one alone. Taylor on points seems like a really good bet. Abraham is a notoriously slow starter..... but this fight is in Germany, and the stamina issue..... Just not worth it.
This is only difficult in predicting if Taylor's losses have taken an effect on him psychologically, never the most mentally strong and never a guy in love with boxing, and will he be spooked fighting away from home in front of a partisan German crowd, strong fighters wouldnt be but Taylor's mental weakness is a serious problem .. Strictly matching fighter for fighter, skill for skill, Taylor should do a number on Abraham. Taylor is by far the better skilled fighter, in fact Taylor is by a mile the most skilled fighter in the whole tournament, no question .. He's got a great stance, fluid puncher, puts combinations together well, and a lovely forward rhythmical bounce reminiscent of Evander Holyfield in his prime, but he has a weak chin and stamina issues. Taylor should treat this as a 6 - 7 round fight and just throw caution to the wind for a knock out, Abraham has fought nobody of any pedigree, nobody of any importance were as Taylor has beaten Hopkins twice, should have finished Pavlik in they're first fight and was 4 rounds up against Froch going into that last round .... Taylor has no killer instinct, he doesnt sense blood, he's too analytical, he needs to adopt a Hearns or Tyson mentality in this fight, boxing 12 rounds he'll gas out ..... But as ive already said Jermain Taylor is a guy that i'd never bet on because of his mental frailties not because of his ability as a boxer ..
Taylor is the better boxer but Abraham has great power and a great beard.Taylor will get stopped again late on while ahead by 2 0r 3 rounds
I've not seen much of Abraham at all to be honest, can ayone shed some light on whether he's ever been hurt or troubled in previous fights? In my opinion, Taylor is still a very good fighter - for the first 6 rounds of fights anyway. The stamina issue will be a key factor though me thinks :think.
Could go either way, but Taylor's been ko'd twice so I sort of expect a big technical puncher like Abraham to do him. But then again Abraham is lazy, which favours Taylor to take a decision and Taylor can hurt his opponent himself. Interesting 1
Gone for Taylor on points, and will have a pound or 10 on it. Would take a Taylor stoppage win though just to see the video of Kos with a mouthfull of beenie hat:yep:good
Taylor has this horrible habit of throwing his jab like a "bow and arrow" really winding it up. I never stopped to think about it before, but I can visually picture him doing this in every single one of his fights, especially in the second Bernard encounter. Don't know where the hell he picked that up, probably in the Little Rock elementary schoolyard lol, but it is definitely an amateurish flaw as it leaves him wide open for counters especially from a southpaw.
