Hopkins is to blame for not fighting Calzaghe earlier, anyone who claims that the Hopkins that faced Calzaghe later was a far inferior version makes me laugh, because Hopkins proved he wasn't above kicking a 27 yr old Middleweight champions ass in his very next fight.

The reason I'm dismissive of you is because you keep repeating bull**** that makes no sense, Hatton's defining fights? You mean the fights Hatton lost in? Vs Joe fighting Kessler, Hopkins and Jones Jr and winning against them all?

Hatton has less than half the title fights Joe has too, so legacy wise? Hatton will hardly be mentioned in 15 years, Joe will be seen as an ATG.

Apparently, Hatton's defining fights are only defining because he got beat in them.

But the Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins and Jones Jr fights can't be defining for Joe. You realise, other than Mayweather - no other fighter has beaten a Top 3 P4P fighter except Joe Calzaghe in the last decade?

Joe beat Bernard when Bernard was #2.
Mayweather beat JMM when JMM was #2.

You want to talk legacy? You've got one of the longest ever title defense streaks, you've got a fighter with one of the highest ever percentage of title fights per fight ever, you've got an undefeated fighter who can point to ATG's, HOF's and ex champions over a decade of fighting.

Anyone who tries to discredit the legacy Joe left behind with "But he should have fought other fighters" is ****ing stupid.
