hey lads i just heard about a possible Lee Macklin clash-that has to be waffle right?

Does anyone know the reason Duddy said no, or was his name just used to deflect attention away from the fact they couldnt get vera over?

lets hope it not true-i doubt it is-and if it was id say Paddy would defo know!

according to freddie he will be a world champion! Freddie told me he has only managed 4 fighters and all became world champs and he has decided to co manage Dean and intends to keep his 100 percent record?

    Lads,

I've just let Scheduling know on Boxrec that the Long-Fitz fight is still on - when I was updating opponents earlier on, I inadvertently left the fight off. Apologies. Mistake fixed now.

I never like getting in a slanging match with anyone here, and I don't mean to get into it with anyone now, but it ****in' drives me mental to see people slagging off the National Stadium card.

Two fellas out thousands and thousands of euro for putting on a pro boxing show. Not for their own benefit - Don O'Leary is a successful businessman as it is, and Phil Sutcliffe lives and breathes the game. This is for Irish boxing, nothing more.

Believe me, they are out thousands of euro for putting on shows for our benefit, and people still have the gall to ridicule.

If they pack up and leave the game, I hope those smartasses who criticise come up with a better plan to breathe life into a sport that is ****ed outside of the marquee names like Dunne, Lee and Macklin. Outside of Paddy Hyland and DolPhil, who else is putting on pro boxing? Why don't the smartasses who criticise put on a pro show and show all the dummies how its done?

They put shows on so Irish fighters have a chance at building records and fighting in their own country.

For an average of €20, you get to see a night of Irish lads in an Irish ring in front of Irish fans. The Long-Fitz fight will be worth it alone. If people don't want to pay, fine. But ridiculing the show is bang out of order.

Mush, you're saying Hyde's show was **** last year, but you didn't pay a cent to get in? And now you say €10 is too much for DolPhil's show? With respect mate - and you're a poster I do like - that is ****in' ridiculous.

What do you expect the lads to do if people won't come to their shows? Would you shell out five-figure sums to bring opponents over? Will you be running a card soon that will have world-ranked fighters on display? Ya, I didn't think so.

Simple equation - if this show is sold out, Dolphil go again soon and better shows follow. Its called starting small and building for the future.
