The way he goes on and on after a fight... It was odvious that he would be a good talking head.

That was the funniest thing about Foreman he would always get into arguments with Merchant. I never will forget when he told Larry that he didn't know boxing.:rofl:lol:

How do you like Johnson since he took over for Alberts?

Very good, not a complaint I can think of. Excuse my ignorance, but isn't he usually a Foot Ball man? (or some other sport?)

He's obviously VERY professional, and shows easy why he was chosen to be on the air.:good

Pretty much. Roy gives the kind of insight that is interesting. He tells you what the fighters are thinking or trying to do. Lennox attempts this but he just confusing. Tarver is good but he seem like he dont really wanna be there. But hey, its a paycheck.

Yes he does the NFL games on CBS. At first I thought it wouldn't translate but he has good enthusiasm and is pretty good.

Personally, I like the commentary of Joe Mesi. He does an excellent job, very articulate.

I like Tarver - more behind the mike than in the ring.

DAMN...I was actually going Create a Thread on the Best Boxing Analyst that are current or former Fighters.

I was watching the Showime card of Allan Green vs. Tarvis Simms...And Antonio Tarver was AWESOME!!!!

Also on my List is Shannon Briggs who was SPECTACULAR in a couple of Appearances as a "FILL-IN" for Teddy Atlas on ESPN2.

Awesome Darryl!! I had thought a couple days of doin' this thread too, but just got to it today.

And I TOTALLY agree that Shannon Briggs also does a really good job when they have him on too. I was more surprised by how good Briggs did than Antonio, because Antonio did an excelent job (if you really think about it) in the Balboa movie as Mason "the Line" Dixon. I know Briggs has showed up in some movies, but no MAJOR part like Tarver had in Rocky.

In short, we eye to eye on this one.:good:yep
