Froch should walk him down and stop him. Dirrel is no Pascal. This fight doesn't go the distance, Froch won't let that happen.

Olu, Olu, Olu... really - Dirrell is so mediocre I'm surprised people are giving him a chance.

I think the overall series is very close. I would also not be particularly surprised if Taylor did well against Abraham.

I've seen a few of Dirrells fights and he's a pretty poor puncher but doesn't try to be anything else. He's pretty slick boxer at the level he's been fighting at but I don't think he can outbox Froch for 12 rounds without encountering serious problems.

His best bet IMHO is to get the early rounds in the bag and try to "cute" is way to enough of the others to get the win.

I have always felt that an undefeated fighter is kind of mystical because neither he or anyone really knows how good they are. We will find out for sure on Saturday. I like Froch but I cannot write off Dirrell who is clearly coming to do everything possible to win. The key may well be that one these guys can get to the other but the other may not be able to get to the other.

But Froch is undefeated too and knows he can carry a fight late. Dirrell looked shaky early on against Hanshaw. I just can't get past that - he was all over the place against Hanshaw's uneducated, undisciplined pressure - Froch brings a different sort of pressure, one that's mentally draining.

On top of that, the low hands mean that Dirrell's got something else to look out for. The left feint Carl throws usually disguises him turning it into a hook, or bringing the right across while the fighter's looking the other way.

I think Dirrell gets battered late on. He's not got the power to keep Carl off.

What a waste of £15 if that happens.

Yeah but I reckon you will already have got plenty of value with the Abraham v Taylor fight, which will be close I think and very unpredictable.

True Froch is undefeated as well which is another intriguing factor. I can see it going both ways however Froch's last 2 displays give me cause for concern as Dirrell is fast and technical.

I would be surprised if that happens.

Agree on Froch to an extent though, hopefully he won't fall in love with his power, that said he adjusted against Pascal when it became clear he was tough, and he won the second half of the fight behind his jab.

I think JT has a chance against Abraham though.
