    CHEF

Have you talked to Wlad lately? I assume he is busy rehabbing his shoulder?

Haye was set to fight Wlad on 20the of june in Gelsenkirchen. He pulls out 2 weeks before. Haye had a contract with Wlad to fight! Than Team Klitschko asked Valuev, Povetkin and than Chagaev to fight Wlad for the IBF/WBO/IBO Titles. Valuev and Povetkin refuses to fight.

And Povetkin got to the US and Teddy Atlas and wants to have tune up fights and now he is tired of waiting for Wlad. What a bul**** Sauerland talks.

It would be stupid to fight Wlad at short notice, when he has mandatory title shot waiting.

But really who cares about interim belt. Now we get extra fight with two top heavy’s so I’m not complaining

Povetkin is stalling for time. He beat Chambers and should go ahead and fight for big money.

Chambers or Povetkin can fight Wladimir. The problem isn't fighting Wladimir, the problem is waiting such a LONG time. Wladimir won't be ready to fight until either March-May, I'd say April, that's a long wait. During the wait Povetkin and Chambers can have a rematch (if they want).

And what a bigger risk to take, that you don't have to take, than the guy who has already beaten you?

If Chambers is as good as everyone says he is (and I know he is), he will beat Povetkin. There is no doubt in mind if Chambers wants to really beat Povetkin and he's at 100% both mentally and physically, he'll beat Povetkin.

Yes it is a big risk.

But it could be his only change to avenge his only loss. If he really believes that he is the best in the world he should take the fight.
It would also give him nice boost of momentum going in title fight and it would keep him active against top competition while waiting for Wlad.

    Wlad will fight in March!

And Povetkin had could fight him on 20the of june or in December 2008!

The IBF should Povetkin strippped off his mandatory status and let Chambers fight the mandatory IBF/WBO against Wlad.

And than Povetkin could earned a shot.

This is Sauerland Bul**** and i am tired of reading, Wlad will not fight Povetkin.

Wlad will fight Chambers first and than Povetkin. Wladimir never said, he won´t fight Povetkin.

Povetkin wants tune-up fights before because he is working with Teddy Atlas, so where is the problem of waiting?

The Problem is, Sauerland wants the IBF-Title without a fight against Wlad. That´s the truth. Valuev was asked to fight in june and he was trained for the fight against Chagaev, his answer "No"!!

The IBF should make the right decision and this will be another eliminator and not this crap from the WBA "Interim"!.

Yeah, I think if Chambers had his head screwed on right in the Povetkin fight, like he did with Dimitrenko, he'd have won easily. Maybe by stoppage. He's a superior boxer to Povetkin on a technical level and his punches were doing more damage, punch by punch. I was really disappointed in him when he completely gave away that fight. But I think he's proven he can be a much better man in there and I give him credit for that. I also think Chambers wins a second fight with Povetkin, if not winning it very impressively.

Why would this be stupid? Povetkin is a young contender so if, and i say if, he is ready, he should sty in shape to take a fight on short notice. Povetkin was scheduled to fight Wlad in December so why not fight in june?

You say he should wait, okay, but now Povetkin did not want to wait. :nut:nut

The reason why Povetkin / Sauerland pull this is MONEY. With an interim belt, Povetkin gets a higher share of the purse than if he would be only mandatory. And by stalling the fight with Wlad, they could easily capitalize on a possible injury of Wlad (even a minor one, when it postpones a fight for some weeks), and get him stripped. So they try to get the belt for Povetkin without having to fight Wlad. That's how great Povetkin is, and such a sportsman.

It would be stupid because he has a mandatory title shot already.
Why challenge champion short notice without preparations, when you are guaranteed to get title shot with proper preparations in future.
