he didnt start at 25....he lived it from birth.

Wow, sometimes nut huggers forget that Anthony Mundine has been a professional boxer for 10 years!

(Now look at the calibre of fighter he has met in his last ten fights).

I think you know for all the ragging that I don't deny the athletic gifts that Chos is blessed with but I still don't understand your stance that you are happy to see him fight the guys that he has fought over the last 2-3 years

 

I want him to fight against the likes of Grevor, Sylevster, Qganov, Bika and Sturm....but I will still be a fan if he fights someone other than my wish list :yep

Its kinda paralleled Bob Sapp's career..he was a gifted footballer before moving to the ring and garnering huge amounts of respect from legions of fans.

He has done well for a bloke who whether you want to believe, took he sport up early or at the age of 25. Like everyone else, I'd like to see him take on a big gun, especially after his fight with Kessler earnt a lot more respect for his ability...Unfortunately, it hasn't panned out that way.

 

It didn't pan out that way because during the Kessler fight he realised he wasn't going to earn a title or a living fighting the major talent at his chosen weight hence his move down in class,then when that second tier of opponent @ 168lbs proved an uncomfortable option he got his arse down south to middle weight ,,pronto .

Fair goes to Mundine he did try fighting some of the best earlier in his career but saw a gap in the market to milk the gullible and took it. when the dust finally settles on this fingers career he will be remembered as a classic "what could have been " imo .

For the record Mundine will be remembered as the footy player who gave up the NRL to become world boxing champ......your hate has turned you to the dark side

 

to be fair before he retires you know mundine is gonna get another shot on the world stage
