Anyone know if Smith is still trained by Buddy McGirt?

This is what Paul Smith (smigga) needs, a fight to get pumped up for. Now he is fighting for a Lonsdale he will use this as a platform to go onto better things.

He is fighting at his ideal weight and is in a division where he could be in a position to be fighting for World honours at some point in the not so distant.

He has his best years ahead of him and come 30th October I think he will take Quigley apart quite easily. 4-7th round.

Disagree with this. Smigger, like Quigley, is a good domestic. Potentially Euro level, but SMW is stacked beyond that.

  5. I think both lads are a tad fleshy at Super, I don't think Middle would kill either of them.

Got my tickets for this a while back, can't wait for what should be a brilliant night of boxing.

I'll be supporting Smigga and there's no reason not to believe he'll win this one. Quigley pulled it out of the bag against Dodson, and I can't see Smith running out of steam like Dodson did that night. Hopefully a shot at the Lonsdale belt will really bring the best out of Smith, and I think it'll be a late stoppage or wide points decision in his favour

    C'mon Smigga!

Smith should win. he is the more skilled, more durable fighter. both, as has been said, shouldnt be fighting at this weight. If smith has rededicated himself to boxing then i cant see him not winning. most likely smith by late stoppage.

This is pretty much how i see the fight panning out.

I think Quigley, although he got a good stoppage against Dodson, lacked something in the fight against him, and if he is popped by someone like smith who has a bang on him, he will go.

Smigga just needs a higher profile fight and level to raise his game. Now he has this, we will see the best of him. I think as has been mentioned, body shots are the key for him. Quigley wont win this on heart alone, and i dont think he has got much else in his locker
    Smigga 8th tko

i say smith has the edge in experience and power Quigley looked good in his last fight but the only other time he has stepped up he got knocked out and i think smith will win by ud or by late knock out

Why is everyone in the papers calling this a grudge match?
Is it bull**** or don't they get on or something?

Will everyone realise that Smith has not fulfilled his potential & never will!!

Stagnent fighter under FW and the way i see this is that he will under perform yet again & Quiqley beats him!!!

Yes they apparently have a bit of history but maybe someone else will give more light on this.

........... & as for Smith at #4 in WBO rankings what a load of absolute shite!!!!!!!!
    Who has he fought?
    What has he done?
Warren & his **** plastic organisations!!
Smith would struggle to make British #4 at SM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
