Kessler close but unanimous decision. both may even taste some canvas along the way. people are undestimating froch's ability based on the fact he started slow in the taylor fight, mistake.
I see Froch ability pretty limited based on the only fights I have seen of him 1 - Ugly fight with Magee who, in many way, look like the fight with Taylor, Froch look limited but manage to knock the guy out. 2 - Fight with Tatevosyan, see nothing special here, except the big BANG at the end, nothing here to really see Froch ''boxing ability'' 3 - Destruction of total noname and unprooven Albert Rybacki, same as number 2, nothing here to really see Froch ''boxing ability'' 4 - Winning vacant belt vs undeserving challenger Pascal in a very very hard fight, where they both look like amateur at time, Froch with the better tempo and timing, got this one, still not seeing great ''ability'' here. 5 - Taylor fight, you know the rest. Hope to see the so called underestimated Froch ''talent'' this weekend, but most probably, Froch will be outboxed ala Taylor by Dirrell and will knock the guy out. Verdict, he can bang and he will, but for the ability, look elsewhere.
Like it or not getting a KO is part of the game. Winning on points is for fighters who can't get the KO. If the opposition is that good they should be able to beat Froch using their superior skills. :deal Hasn't happened yet tho, let's see if the slick Dirrell can do better.......
I really like ko, but I prefer the overall when I can have it. This is boxing, some only have knockout power like Tyson, and some have it all like Lewis, and Lennox is more my type. So yes, Froch has power, but that's all, if he can't knock the guy out, its very hard for him to win, so to get back to the thread, Kessler, in my book, will always be better than Froch, he's not only power, he got skill, chin, workrate, good defense, and not a too big mouth... Kessler===>Froch And judging by the poll, i'm not the only one seeing this.
Froch/Abraham is two oafs lumbering around the ring missing each other. By no means does that make a FOTY candidate.
Due to a variety of stylistic issues I expect Kessler to stop Froch anytime after round 7-8. Froch's poor movement, poor foot postioning, and low guard make him a sitting duck for a good 1-2. And Taylor could not freaking miss Froch with left hands. Carl looks like a very simple fighter to beat. (Don't confuse simple with easy.) Jab/right-hand/close with a hook. Very basic fight for MK, and no matter how tough a guy is, the human body will only tolerate so much punishment and then it shuts down.
