Valuev may retire on his stool at some point if Haye tags him enough. I don't see it happening early though, if at all. I don't see him actually going down. I question Valuev's power. He hasn't honestly knocked anyone out in quite a while. And in all his fights, how many times has he legitimately knocked out a name opponent? It's the leverage he gets from his size that enables him to knock people out. He's not a great puncher. Great chin though. But I think he's fading too.

I watched the Holyfield vs. Valuev fight the other night, and it was better than I expected.

    My notes:

    1. Evander was robbed of a decision. Blatantly robbed. He should be doing something about it.

    2. Evander, even landing several flush, clean power shots and combos, never wobbled Valuev.

    3. Valuev moved and was more fluid than I expected him to be. Sure, he lumbers like Frankenstein, but he did box a little.

    4. Its going to take someone large, like Wlad or Vitali to drop Valuev.

So, for Haye... I think these are the questions:

    1. Can Haye hurt him? Unlikely. Its going to have to be a perfect shot, and even then...he is just too big...it may not matter. Haye coming up from Cruiser, is probably less massive and strong than Evander who has been on roids and training for 20 years.

    2. Haye's best chance is to dance, circle, get in connect and get out for 12 rounds.

Yes body weight does equal power you put Kelly Pavlick in there with arreola who would be the harder puncher? who would you put your money on? hell if KP managed to almost knock out Arreola had him on ***** street and having to go down once and then tackle his oponent to avoid the ko. Then yes Size does equate to power... and by the way unlike Pavlick, Mock had no pop at 160 lbs... it took a lot of help from the home town ref haye was in enough trouble they could of stopped it in the second.!
Good for you you were at the fight soo your what somehow privy to an angle what no one else seen where haye didnt go down hard get up and then tackle his opponent all the way across and almost out of the ring in the second?

Haye could do that but I see Haye winning a UD or TKO against Valuev. Valuev really has the best chance of stopping Haye within six more than Haye does.

I will laugh my ass off if Haye runs from Valuev all night and wins a controversial SD.

LOL are you kidding me? Haye got floored by SMWs and LHWs, Vitali would send Haye through the ropes, back to the dressing room.

So applying your logic, Eric Esch hits harder than Mike Tyson? :patsch:lol:

I don't see why you are labouring the point about the Mock fight - Ali withstood the bombs of arguably the division's two harderst punchers: Shavers and Foreman, yet was hurt far worse than Haye by a 188lb Henry Cooper.

No way. IMHO I don't beleive that Valuev can be knocked out .If Haye wants to win he must do it like Chagaev. I believe that if Valuev feels that he is threatened to be knocked out he may "wake up" and use the 100% his strength and I don't think this will be good for Haye

Don't try to add colour to their black and white view mate. You'll confuse them

No way does Haye have the power to KO Valuev...he is gonna have to try and outbox him and I mean for the full 12 rounds. Anything close and Haye will be sent packing bk to cruiserw8!!!

Speed kills. Haye has speed like a welterweight and Valuev is slow other than his jab. It's a mismatch of talent and has a good chance of being stopped

I made a notice. When the fight was announced Haye was the favourite with 1,4 while Valuev had 2,9
Now Haye remains the favourite but with 1,6 while Valuev has dropped to 2,6 (Betfair)
