froch is to easy to hit and would get hit with bombs would not see it past 4. AA would get to 6 or 7 he would walk onto some big shots. as he is a come forward fighter taylor would last about 6 rounds. the only guy in this group who could possible take roy jones to rds9 or 10 is kessler. if roy jones is in the mood he could do it. look what he did to iron chined sugar boy malinga. he had frighting power at 168lbs.
Roy in his PRIME was ****en invincible!!! RJJ had great power and extraordinary speed/Reflexs and RJJ BARELY ever got hit!!! THATS WHAT PEOPLE NEED TO REMEMBER I say RJJ could def pull this off!!! they didnt call him superman for no reason!! Roy most likely stops everybody except Arthur Abraham in my opinion,AA was taking shots from a knockout-artist while his jaw was broken,he has tremondous heart,Roy wont be able to stop him, just win a UD
Jones would never accept such a fight in his Prime. He hand picked all of his fights. Can you imagine JOnes traveling to England or Germany to fight? It would never happen. :roflatsch
I'm speechless. People seem to forget that a 34-year old Tarver took RJJ to 12 rounds and into deep waters. Tarver was a great fighter, but probably only barely above/on par with Kessler. And he was not invincible, nobody is. He will get worn out eventually. This are 6 world-class fighters, no part-time fireman/bartenders. RJJ might knock out 6 municipal workers on one night, but that is where it ends...
Roy wasn't prime at 34. Tarver is a 6'2-6'3 southpaw light heavyweight. How is he "on par" with Kessler? Roy would have KO'd six municipal workers in under six minutes. And that's not even special, most professional boxers could do that. What's your point there?
Roy's been in the champions rounds with plenty of average guys at times though, whether it be Eric Lucas, David Telesco, Otis Grant, Derrick Harmon or whoever. I don't think we can comprehensively say that he takes all these guys out early.
The point is, that Roy was running through every boxing municipal worker from the tri-state IN HIS PRIME. You simply did not get the reference. Tarver is on par with Kessler in terms of class not size or style.
Absolutely not. Kessler and Abraham would almost definitely go the distance. We don't really know enough about Dirrell and Ward right now to say one way or the other. Prime Roy would have ripped Taylor and Froch to pieces because they aren't responsible enough defensively. Froch in particular would have ended a hell of a lot like Jones - Woods. This entire premise is really, really silly, but Roy at 168 was good enough in my mind that I can't entirely laugh it off. Plus he carried so many fights past their natural ending. He could have had Reggie Johnson out in 6 easily and the same basically goes for guys like Hall and Telesco up at 175. He was usually too busy putting on a show to really focus on ending the fight.
