I doubt Jeffries would have any problem with McEwan. They are quite different, McEwan tries to be cute and counterpunch whereas Jeffries is just basic, there is nothing ambitious in his approach.

Jeffries is a fully fledged light heavy and a big one, McEwan could probably make 154lbs.

Jefferies could do with a big straight right after some of these jabs. Don't think he works off the jab as much as he could.

His right hand is terrible; falls short and he falls in with it.

Nah man, McEwan is a solid middle. Jeffries should be at 168 imo.

your right there just something he could work on. Nothing i enjoy more in boxing than a solid one two that could cause a knockout like Lewis had.

Does Jeffries need a new trainer? Just for some tweaks? He's a good lad would like to see him do alright. If he has a good chin he can be moulded into a decent fighter I reckon. I say this without watching the current fight :good

Didn't he have a reputation in the amateurs for not having that good a chin?

He was going to fight Alfredo Angulo at 154lbs and its been long discussed about moving there so his camp must have thought he could. He's an average sized middle at best. I don't think he'd beat Jeffries, McEwan has had his **** nights too.

Best prospect for me in Britain. Never seems out of ideas in the ring (waits for Groves to have a shocker here )

Fair enough. I'm fairly sure I was making the point that I think both are poor though.;)

Jeffries has never gone 12 rounds, at this stage I'd pick McEwan.
