That's the thing though. If he goes the distance with Kessler & Abraham, that's 24 rounds in the bag right there and his night's work is far from over. How many boxers do you think could complete 24 hard rounds & then have energy for 4 other fights? And these aren't easy fights, even if he may knock out Froch & Taylor early, he would still have to expand some energy to do so, then there's still Ward & Dirrelll to go. It's a pretty ridiculous concept. I'm not going to argue that a prime Roy would blitz this Super 6, but on one night? Hardly.

and even then..think about what Woods actually did in that fight. He didnt do much(he showed tremendous heart), he just took a beating from RJJ at his best. Now, you gotta think Froch would be more of a challenge...in fact a definate bigger challenge...even though Froch can be hit pretty easy it seems

    LMAO!

Jones would have lit Kessler up somethin terrible! Kessler is too robotic to compete with a young Roy. Kessler wouldnt beat Toney, let alone Roy.

Froch is a far more talented athlete, but would be more open to counters. Roy was lightning quick at 168. His chin might be just as good as Woods weight for weight, but at some point he'd be taking too many shots and the corner would step in.

Bottom line, I think Tommy is right. This is a ridiculous task to ask of any fighter. And we absolutely do NOT need to sh*t on the six fighters who stepped up to the plate for this tourney to remember how insanely good Roy was in his prime. That's what youtube is for.

Froch would last NO MORE than 5 rounds with a prime Jones. We're not talking about the older Roy that beat up Woods. We're talking about the Roy that destroyed Brannon, and Sosa. Froch would get KO'd by that Roy. No stoppage, I mean Froch would be OUT cold.

What would happen to Roy's fragile Chin when a Kessler straight right slams into it?

Froch's chin isn't as good as Woods.

I'm sure Rico will agree, Woods probably has the best chin of any British fighter of the past 20 years, at least.

Hopelessly outclassed against Jones but was pulled out by his corner, took loads of bombs flush from Gonzalez, Johnson, Tarver and Cloud - never looked like being stopped.

LOL Roy would lose to Dirrell after the Kessler fight. Kessler would give a Prime RJJ a good fight.

well... he'll probably let them all go to decisions. If we can stipulate that he gets some caffeine or some kind of pick me up during his 2.5 hr rest period, then it's conceivable that he beats them all, back to back, on the same day. I don't think any of them are capable of putting any significant punishment on a prime Roy.

yeah I know it hurts, but the difference in talent is just that great. I'm not saying he could definitely do it, but it's conceivable.

A guy like Froch is just a punching bag for a SMW RJJ. No threat, no difficulty, no problem whatsoever. RJJ smashes him while eating a sammich.
