Bad idea for Brewer to do this. He hasn't lost a fight since he entered The Contender Season II. Why start now. I imagine it will be at 160. Brewer does not belong anywhere north of 154, and this is Winky Wright. I hope Grady is at least getting a decent pay check. http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=3600&cat=boxer
Wrong noob. He fought 4 times since then, and from the beginning of the contender II up to now he has 8 straight wins including Forbes, Bundrage, and an undefeated Albert Onolunose.
At least he will get a big payday. Who knows, Winky might be an old man and Brewer could make hims struggle. If Brewer puts forth a good effort in losing, he sets himself set for some good fights. He would be considered a step up for high level prospects. If he was to shockingly win, he gets himself an automatic title shot for a 154 belt holder, or an interim title. Either way, it is a win-win-win situation for him.
Well -- I sort of agree, and it's kind of now or never for Grady Brewer. As far as putting high-level prospects in with Grady there should be some kind of rule that says promoters must be warned not to put their undefeated prospects in with Brewer. Most people don't realize this but Grady has 4 zeros sittin' in his trophy case already, and I'm betting he grabs a couple more before he calls it a day!
That's probably the payday Grady was hoping for. Nothing wrong with this fight, Winky needs a tune-up and Brewer won't just show up for the paycheck.
