I don't recall seeing this poll. Do you think Cotto is damaged goods during his fight with Pac?

I, personally, don't think so. He didn't looked good against Margarito as we know what happened there and Clottey who is a strong and big welterweight.

He looked great for the first 6 rounds against Margo then the plaster hardened and the rest is history.

im not to sure on this one,we still dont know what the margarito fight truly did to cotto because the jennings fight was a walkthrough & nobody ever looks good or has an easy night against clottey.either way hes still an awesome fighter.

For the first 6 rounds he looked unbelievable against Margarito

After that, the walls came crumbling down, and he's never been the same since

Cotto is a great fighter who has been fighting the best opposition out there. If Pac wins, he just beat another great fighter.

What evidence is there that he is damaged goods? I don't see it. The answer must be no.

Cotto, recovering from a shattering loss, took a couple of rounds to heat up against Jennings, then he let go his usual bodyshots and got the stoppage.

Then he beats Joshua Clottey with one eye. Clottey is not a great fighter, but he would be difficult to beat for anyone at welterweight. Cotto's cut was horrible and clearly affected his vision, and he still deservedly got the decision.

Had Cotto fought like that against Clottey without the cut, then I would say maybe he wasn't looking like his old self. But the cut must be taken into account. Cotto was brave, busy, and showed good boxing skills against a strong opponent.

There is not enough evidence to suggest to me that Cotto is damaged goods. No.

Hell no..he is 1 of the best welterweights in the world today...he got beat and his loss is in a shadow....he is a complete fighter other than he has trouble fighting while the pressure is put on him (imo)...

No he's not damaged goods, he's just been fighting THE BEST. If Cotto had fought Mayweather's last few opponents he'd look like a genius too.

Mosely, Margarito (loaded gloves so loss doesn't count), Clottey. THE BEST WW's in the division.
