I disagree. Where I come from, you call someone a bigot if they have contempt for someone else because of religion. A racist is the same thing except the focus is skin colour or origin, but the two are bound together. A person guilty of either is essentially guilty of the same crime of intolerance. It's not really something I am interested in debating with you and your little emoticons, but my point for entering this thread remains the same: Mendoza should let it go. These little forum vendettas are silly.

[The College English Dictionary.] " A person obstinately wedded to a particular creed! I think both those definitions fit Mendoza to tee .:good Perhaps your dictionary has a different definition? Its been a long time since I was at school ,but English was my best subject,if I wanted to call some one racist ,that is the term I would use, I like to be clear about my intentions.

Well both the dictionary and simple common sense is on my side so i too have little interest (nor need, i mean wtf) in debating your incorrect semantics.
To be honest I don't even know what you guys were arguing about so I should have kept my mouth shut, but to call someone a 'bigot' on a boxing forum is essentially the same thing as calling him a 'racist' as I see it. It has nothing to do with boxing, and you are accusing him of prejudice and intolerance. That's not to say I think you were out of order, because I know nothing of the dispute between you and Mendoza, I just queried the black-and-white difference drawn by JohnThomas, which seems more of a technicality to me. But as I said, none of my business, I shouldn't have intervened, and I now take my leave. I don't know you or Mendoza, but I hope no-one leaves, that this thread dies, and the Classic continues to be a great forum. Leave this sort of shite to the General. :good
