I don't remember this being done. I'm sure it has, but I haven't seen it. Who takes it, though? A prime Mugabi, before the Hagler fight, fighting at 154 against Terrible Tony?
Hell of a match early on but Tony gradually gets the better of the beast and gores him to death. Torito by mid-rounds KO.
I knew this would bring you out. This would be a great match, and I could see Mugabi and Tony badly hurting each other in the early rounds. I think The Beast would weather Tony's early onslaught and get him out in the mid-rounds.
thumbsup Thats exactly what i was gonna gonna write. Would be a war for 5 rounds with each dropping each other then Torito takes over.
I actually think Tony finishes him rather quickly. Take a look at the Green fight if you have it when james gets him in trouble round 3. Tony would have finished him right there or the next round
I beg to differ. Post-Hearns Hagler was considerably slower and easier to hit. Young Tony would've knocked him for a loop.
:roflatsch I respect your opinions, even though a lot of them are far-fetched, but this is some fanboy **** right here. There is no way a chub 154 pounder could beat even an old Hagler. Get real, dude.
I respect yours too, but I'm quite realistic here. Nobody hit like Tony. If 33 year old Hagler couldn't stop natural WW Leonard, how will he keep the much stronger Tony off him?
Tony would get in his face and hit him so fast he'd have to back up to see what the hell he was doing to him
I agree. At this stage of his career, Hagler was barely functional and could barely move his hands, a far cry from the days of Sibson and Hamsho or even Hearns.
