That would most likely be him Slap... Ive never heard of him, but he could have been born in Belfast. You have to have contacts in Breens Gym. Could you not find out anything there.

    O'Reilly advances at U-21 Championships

    Saturday, 17 October 2009 11:38
Donegal middleweight Stephen O'Reilly advanced to within two bouts of retaining his U-21 title after David Joyce retired in the second round of Friday night's 75kg decider at the National Stadium in Dublin.

The Championships gloved off at the home of Irish boxing with 16 preliminary/quarter-final duels and one heavyweight semi-final - which saw Kiril Afanasev advance at the expense of Willie McDonagh on a 8-7 verdict - down for decision.

Crumlin's Sonny Upton recorded one of the most impressive victories of the evening, a 17-2 win over Fergal McRory settling an all Ulster lightweight encounter.

There were wins also for Mark O'Hara, Pat Walsh, Donal Burns and Pat Linehan, who knocked David Moran out with a second round body shot.

Meanwhile, Tyrone McKenna received a walkover and Dublin Dockland ace Bernard Roe stopped Tom O'Neill in the third.

The Championships resume on Saturday with quarter-final sessions at 2pm and 7pm.

The semi-finals will be held next Friday night with the finals pencilled in for next Saturday beginning at 12 noon.

If true they should make it for the Irish title aswell .Some interseting local heavy bouts could be made.

You don't think Irish boxers are great? Is that what you mean? Irish boxing is thriving, from amateur to pro we are having more success and producing better fighters than we ever have before. What's not to like about that? :D

Engage brain before keyboard there. There's nothing not to like about Irish boxing overall in the last few years. Ups and downs and tragedy thrown in to boot but its thriving like it has never done before in general.

What was the point of showing the Dunne fight? We don't show Ricky Hatton getting his assed sparked out in 2 rounds or Khan doing the chicken dance from a jab on our boxing broadcasts. British ****s were just loving seeing Dunne floored :fire
