Honestly, I thought it was a very close fight. I had it 6-6 with Frich winning because if the deduction but Dirrell's tactics were horrible and no fighter deserves to win a title when they don't bring a fight. He ran, he hugged and be used every other spoiling tactic in the book to stay away from Froch. What Mayweather does is pure skill. This, was nonsense and a performance that didn't deseve the win.
Froch didn't deserve winning, because he was pure crap tbh. He tried however. It was quite evident that Dirrell was the better boxer, as we all knew, but he was too scared in a fight he should have outscored Froch by a wide margin. But he didn't. I still had him ahead, despite the point reduction. Froch didn't land alot, but at least he tried to control the fight. Unfortunately he is terrible in every area, save punch power. Kessler will have an easier time with him than against Andrade - alot easier. Andrade would demolish Froch as well.
i agree i was not impresed by froch at all..but you cant win a tittle running and holding..unless your sweet pea.
I gotta agree. Even being a Dirrell fan. He needed to fight more and the belt was in the bag. he knew where he was and what he needed to do, yet he didn't so he goes home a loser. I will say thought the only hard sharp punches of the fight were landed by dirrell so I can see why people thought it was a robbery, but it wasn't, just a close close fight. he did too much running and grabbing and not enough fighting.
For the first time I can't disagree with a comment/post/thread like this. Dirrell didn't show the desire even though he had the man wide open and when he threw the punches he was SUPPOSED to he had Froch stunned yet didn't commit more and looked to be stiff/scared and over cautious early on. Where's that fire to push and push hard to become champion?!, I was very disappointed because he had what it takes to beat that guy and DID BEAT HIM in my score but won't complain much about a robbery expected in England anyway.
Probably didn't deserve or earn it. But it don't change the fact I had him ahead by a few points and should have got the decision.
