We finally get something good with showtime announcing the super six tourny and you have the same bull**** corrupted sport. Andre Dirrell EASILY won that fight. He landed much much cleaner shots and Froch fought incredibly dirty. Froch was completely outclassed in that fight. I thought that when this tourny was announced they were going to make sure it was fair...guess not.
Boxing isn't dying you smack head. Only ****s like you keep saying it. Everyone i no prefers boxing to any other sport bar footy.
Terrible decision. It's why I like other sports like basketball and american football. There is always a definitive winner.
No, people that want to see fairness and honor in boxing are being alienated. It's too bad you don't see the difference.
Boxing has always had this problem but I will ALWAYS give it my 100 percent attention. Whether it be local fights(my brother has his first pro fight in feb.), PPV, versus, ESPN FNF. I'll always know it the purest combat sport. Screw the judges !!!! The fans know the truth and that's what matters most. If you are member here constantly saying boxing is dying stay in the amateurish MMA section.
You're right, it's been dead. Once Tyson bit off Holyfield's ears in '96, boxing has been a sideshow in America. Who cares about it's popularity in Europe, it's obvious that they don't judge the fights there, they judge the fighter's hometowns.
No he's right. You can't change the problem until you admit there's a problem and right now boxing has a lot of big problems. Bad and/or rigged decisions are at the top of the list.
At one stage I had to stop myself from laughing. It reminded me of those comedy routines where the "hero" is in a boxing ring with a giant thug & he gets the thug dizzy by bounding around & around with a jitterbug dance. Geez, you'ld have to aim at Frochs nuts if you wanted to hit his guard. Dirrel looked like he would have been in his comfort zone if he was allowed to jump on Carls back. If that's the "Super six", better they make it the "Furious four"
