Neither is rabbit punching, hitting on the break, hip tossing or elbowing, but hey, I guess rules are meant to be applied selectively.

Froch may have won a sketchy decision but he didn't win any respect or fans. Lost quite a few, I'd wager. If you don't have the ability to fight a guy who is unwilling to stand directly in front of you or lean on the ropes and let you wail on him then you probably aren't championship material. Froch is one dimensional and the only reason the fight APPEARED close is that Dirrell is still very green. Had this been Dirrell's second or third fight at this level, intead of his first, he would have dismantled Froch, as he did in the last few rounds.

Froch isn't getting out of the next round with his 0. And based on how he looked before the decision was announced he wasn't sure he was going to make it out of this one either.

Power Puncher you and me seam to agree on something. **** i never thought i would see that day.

I had it 116-112 Dirrell Would have been 117-112 but for the point deduction.

Mate Froch did nothing. He never hit a thing all night. People can go on and on about Dirrell fighting on the back foot but he hurt Froch and Froch's defense was Poor.

Kessler who looks likely Froch's next opponent will KO him. BAD.

Actually he said he "gave it away", meaning that he let Froch steal it. Doesn't mean he thought he lost it, it means that he thought the judges might not give it to him. Kid knew he was fighting in the other guy's home town and they weren't going to give him a break on the scorecards, even if he deserved the round, and he was right.

Froch won by two rounds IMO and I really can't see what all the fuss is about.

I think Dirrell won the last 2 rounds and thats what i thought going in to the 11th he needed to do to win the fight, I didnt give Froch the 12th you cant be fooled by his old school trick of trying to steal the round like he did with some others by throwing flurries in the last 30 seconds.Close fight could of gone either way no problems with the decision.

As I said I'm the minority but rounds 1-11 were easy for me to score, when it was stricly and exhibition of boxing skills, clear dirrell rounds....when it was sloppy, and was a inside fight and dirrell was stationary froch scored....the only round where I would need to see again is 12 thats a real swing round....114-113 for either man I have no problems with..

I agree with you. I had it by serious distance to Dirrell, to the point where I stopped scoring it after 8 rounds (Froch could not win on my card). I will say; it was a difficult round to score and some round were arguable. But there is no way Froch's aggression should be outscoring Dirrell's defence unless I missed a memo.

Froch won by 1 or 2 rounds....

I think Froch fought the best he could, Direll could have done more and was a fight he lost.....a bit like Calzaghe Hopkins....Hopkins was the classier fighter (which we all knew) but didnt have the legs at 43 .

Direll didnt know wether he had the legs at 26!!! thats called experience,....

:thumbsup:thumbsup The fight was not close worst decision not only this year but more like 20 years. I really dont feel like this is an exaggeration as I have a clear memory of my score on all ther contro decisions in the last 30 years.
