Who do you think won that fight, Froch or Dirrell?

Dirrel just to be honest, but the only rouns he won clearly were 10-11. The point deduction makes it very close.

Dirrel also fell on his arse too many times.

Both were dirty but it was because of Froch, Froch was dirty that upset Dirrel who then responded with dirt.

    That bodyslam was disgraceful.

I just don't get excited about bulling throws in boxing. I think **** happens when two guys are testing strength in clinches. Tiger would do **** like that on occasion, just to say, "I ****ing own you".

I agree that Froch started the dirty stuff, but as the man once said, "you're not in there to dance". Sometimes fighters bend the rules to bring an opponent under control. Of course, you don't have to like it and what you are saying is true, but Froch basically did the right thing from a tactical perspective.

Yes. I think he took a knee twice because he lost his balance, giving Froch serious punching opportunities. IMO, that was the most serious infraction of the rules we saw last night.

    There are none.

By that I mean there was absolutely nothing ni the fight which could be deemed a 'highlight'

My TV wouldn't work so I missed it. I thought Froch would KO him early, not because Direll is **** but because his chin has looked shaky and I expected Froch to jump him and just attack like he did early doors with Pascal.

But Froch is really not very good. It was obvious from early on that he thinks he is much slicker than he is, but in reality he is quite sluggish and his workrate is often too low.

Kessler will DESTROY him, it will be a thrashing where Froch gets busted up and takes a sustained beating before being stopped.

By the way it was especially awful around round 8/9 I think.

For about a minute it was just Dirrel standing there, walking in a circle and Froch shadowing that.

Wouldn't bother, Dirrell made Witter look like Mike Tyson

    Disgustingly negative performance IMO

    It was an utter non-fight

Slipping and countering is one thing, he outright ran

Dirrell didnt throw enough shots to win this match and a world title.

It seems he tried to fight the kind of fight that khan did on Kotelnik - get in, throw some shots and then get on his bike however unlike Khan, Dirrel rarely got off his bike the whole fight!

I think it was a very close fight that could have gone either way to be fair, but to say that Dirrell has been robbed is way off the mark in my opinion.

Spot On this post, I had Dirrell winning it but it was close.. I thought Froch's smashing on the back of the head tactics should have been punished!!:-(

Duffman - that's a good comparison. Khan may have been dull against Kotelnik but he left no doubt that he'd won. Dirrell just wanted to nick the fight.

When I went for my new job, I went in with the attitude I was going to be better than EVERYONE else, even when I knew there was someone they wanted in the job. I was going to be miles apart in preparation and presentation so there was no second guesses on the bosses' side. I got the job because I was the best, but I showed it too.

I didn't go in to do just enough and then get frustrated when the other guy who they wanted more got the nod. That's unprofessional - something the yanks need to learn.
