i thought Dirrel won but the rounds were close (i had it 9-2-1) so it could have been alot closer but i honestly never thought Froch deserved it. However Dan at ringside had Froch up so maybe it didnt translate to telly very well.

Froch was constantly frustrated and missing badly and getting hit with counters and sharp jabs. I have always said Froch aint taht good and hes not. Dirrel was good but that dirty **** Froch upset him and he got annoyed.

Honestly Froch tactics were a disgrace thats not winning fair, Body slamming him to thn ground what a ****. And Dirrel gets the point off and Froch did twice as much dirty stuff that was a joke. Froch's tactics were disgraceful i have lost all respect for him

Not that I'm doubting his scoring but it might be worth remembering that Dan had probably been on the **** for 12 hours by that stage.....;O)

    he had definitly

when i spoke to him he was alright but you could hear he was drunk but he was funny as ****. I think he put his mate on who had it to Forch aswell. Dan also told me the general feeling round ringside was that JT was beating AA by 9 rounds

As for Fleaman he was supposedly out of it, he wont remember the fight

End of the day, Froch was trying to provoke a fight

Dirrell would happily run all night

People are comparing his performance to Floyd which is a joke, Floyd punishes your missed punches, he'll sit in the pocket and slip punches, he'll lead occasionally

Dirrell straight up ran, for me that's a bigger crime than someone trying to rough a runner up

Fighting on the back foot and being elusive are all well and good but coming to the ring, refusing to fight for 12 rounds against a guy you are as big as, as fast as, younger than... it's pathetic

Froch criticized Khan for being a boring fighter which is ironic since this is the same guy, who when he fought Jermain Taylor, NO BRITISH TV STATION WANTED TO TOUCH HIM! NONE! he was even bitching about it. If they had this little faith in him, I think the public have decided who they'd rather watch. I'm not even a big Khan fan but this Froch is a grade A *******. He is just bitter that this kid is a household name at 22 years old and Froch can only be watched on a live internet stream.

Thanks for that insightful response. Sadly I'm not sure if I can make it any simpler for you to understand, you fail.

Yes and while running away he managed to hit Froch 286 times and only get hit 141 times.

Dirrell won the fight clearly and Froch got a hometown decision.Froch looked embarrassed when he got the decision which says it all as he knew deep down he didn`t win the fight.

:happyThank you. In that one sentence you summed it up perfectly. Sadly people don't seem to get the fact that boxing is a skill, fighting on the backfoot is a skill. You shouldn't get awarded for throwing more punches and being the agressor, but for landing more punches.

  12. I think scoring on aggression can be wrong sometimes, but you will always score on aggression when you're drunk, as most of us were I guess.

I gave it to Froch pissed, as I gave it to DLH over Mayweather pissed. Watching it back though it's clear to me both Mayweather & Dirrell won those fights.

I feel for the kid, hope he beats Abraham.

Does the format mean that Froch or Dirrell could meet again in this tournament?

Yeah, I noticed that. He looked pretty sheepish when the last card giving him the win was announced.

Not checked ESB at all since being at the fight, slowly working my way through. No-one around me thought that Dirrell won and there was only suprise that it was a split decision, none of us heard commentary which always influences people.

I had it the same as the 2 judges btw.

Greg, no offense but that is the worst scorecard I have seen so far for this fight ;)
