I thought Dirrell won and deserved the decision. But it was NO WHERE NEAR as BAD as you make it out to be. Not a blatant hometwon robbery by any means.

Do you? Its based on round by round, so just because Direll dominated few rounds clearly and hurt Froch doesnt mean he won more rounds, he ****ed around too much in many rounds by running, clinching, falling around and the point deduction cost him the fight.

 

Please, please don't do that buddy. Mods will understand your words at this time and won't do it for sure... Again, Froch is now a popular Champ and at least, he was able to gamble with a superior technician and those are three he have done with along with Pascal and Taylor. We have to accept it even tho I was really expecting Dirrell to win - no love for Dirrell in particular but you let me know through some material that he had the style to beat Froch. I have to rewatch it and make my opinion about this one still but hey... In any case, leaving the Forum won't do any good to the ignorants who want to prove whatever.

What is it with people acting as if questionable scoring and "boxing corruption" is a modern-day phenomenon? "Boxing has become a hometown popularity contest"????

Please man hometown decisions and things like it have been around as long as the sport, in fact, i'd say in the 'good old days' it must have been a lot worse because the world wasn't as small and exposed yet and they could get away with a lot more stuff.

Ever saw that fight with Jack Johnson and Tommy Burns were the police turned of the camera's right before Burns got KO'd so that it wouldn't be on tape??

Besides if "pure boxing and boxers" was "not respected anymore", then why, just to name an example, did Floyd Mayweather get the decision over Castillo in their first fight? Because he was walking him down and beating him up????
