    King Arthur Abraham:

“I am very sorry to hear that he is in hospital. I want to defeat my opponents but I do not want to harm them. The health is the most important thing and I hope Jermain will be fine. I was relieved when he got back up to his feet after the knock-down. I wish him well. It was an honour to fight him.”

    I love him. Total class.

Hope he recovers. Looks like he may pull out of the Super 6. Will be a shame, I don't want him to get hurt but I think the worst of it is over for him now. It would be a shame to bow out on the back of a fight like that.

If Taylor retires, who takes his place in the tournament?

The winner of Bute v Andrade? Allan Green?

This what classy AA had to say:

Abraham sent his best wishes to the former champion. “I am very sorry to hear that he is in hospital,” King Arthur said. “I want to defeat my opponents but I do not want to harm them. The health is the most important thing and I hope Jermain will be fine. I was relieved when he got back up to his feet after the knock-down. I wish him well. It was an honour to fight him.”

i wish ht the best in his recovery but i think this guy is shot......kelly pavlik changed this mans career....he has not been the same aggressive jt since the pavlik fight...he is scared to bang and he is gun shy to throw that right hand.....he gave us wonderful fights in the last 10 years but it time to hang'em up champ....his boxing heart isnt there...its similar to the way tyson started fading.....i dont care want any1 sez I was impressed with the ko but AA is a dirty fighter...i think all europeans are dirty fighters with the holding on the back of the head and hitting(same in the froch fight)and there was alot of home cooking against the americans...AA is not impressive at all.....i would not look at this ko being devastating because jt was shot and it has happened to him 3 out of the last 5 fights...

How do you think the scores were up to the KO?

Taylor won the first 2 rounds by being busy. Arthur really started stepping up his activity after that. He was also landing the more clean shots. I had him winning the fight before the knockout.

Allan Green should replace Taylor if he can't continue. He is one of Lou Dibella's fighters so he might have a chance.

It was a horrendous KO. His head banged off the canvas so hard you could hear it on TV. He looked dreadful right after.

Arthur's a classy guy - he was straight over when he realised Jermain wasn't up still.

I don't want Taylor to be the guy that everyone makes their points off of in the tournament. I hope he sits down and thinks through what eating those sorts of shot means for him and his health. He's a nice guy but he can't compete with (broadly) bigger, stronger, hard-punching guys who carry their power late.

Incorrect - he was never the same after fighting Hopkins. Pavlik just closed the show due to actually having a punch out of Taylor's three prior opponents.

I hope he pulls through quickly. He's a genuine and decent family guy and I feel bad for him losing like that, and Arthur's words as well show class on his part. It's a tough game and this is one of the consequences, I hope he takes stock of this and decides to bow out for his own and his family's sake.

It was very painful to see Taylor seriously hurt in service to we the fans, his family, and the sport of boxing. I'm not ashamed to say I had to look away. I know many of us saw this potential outcome.. This is hard. How many professionals risk their lives when they perform their job? Not many. You've made us proud, JT. It's time.

Good news: Jermain was released from the hospital and took on a little city tour in Berlin. No info whether he's now allowed to leave by plane immediately or he still has to stay in Germany for a few more days, just for sure.
