I was there last night, and just have to say what a fantastic atmosphere it was, after forest won 1-0 against Newcastle it was clear to me that it would be electric in the arena and it didn't dissapoint.

As for the fight, I thought Froch won quite handily, and with the point deduction and the constant clinching and off-balance antics from Dirrell, deserved a decent UD at the very least.

It was sometimes messy and hardly a patch on what had been done in Berlin earlier on in the night, but clearly as a Froch fan there were bigger fish to fry last night, and i thought Froch did well to use his jab for a change.

What i cant believe is that people on this forum still protest Froch's obvious World Class talent and the fact that he was just the better man, some of you insisting Dirrell won, what fight were you watching? it cant have been the same one. I hope some of the more outrageous dirrell lovers on this forum hide...for a long time!

maybe you were listening to the crowd when froch was on offence rather than watching what landed cleanly?

its no coincidence you're posting like this and also from nottingham, i'm afraid...

My thoughts are Froch is a no talent bum who just got schooled and you don't have a clue about boxing, either that or your heads so far up Froch's ass you can't see the fight. Dirrell landed his punches, Froch missed his, its that simple

    he was the crowd

I wont be surprised if the TS initiated the loud cheering in the stands whenever Froch threw an ineffective flurry

Dirrell took it in my eyes.. its debatable.. but one things for sure.. Froch was certainly not a clear winner.. For those who insist he won without a shadow of a doubt.. their nuthugging knows no bounds..

Dirrel outboxed froch, what froch refered to as negativity - well that was actualy called boxing so no wonder Froch couldnt recognise it. My estimation of Froch went down.

Maybe it wasn't as obvious from your seat just how often Froch was missing. I thought Dirrell won a close fight where his tactics done him no favours. Not the robbery some people are making out but closer than you seem to be saying.

The holding every time he (Dirrell,) was in close wasn't boxing. I agree his footwork, elusiveness and slipping shots was all good but his holding and hugging did ruin the fight a bit.

I'm not sure how someone who has an ounce of boxing knowledge could say that Froch won that fight or "outclassed" Dirrell. Of course, unless that person has a bias for Froch. Thats the only explanation.

i said going into this that froch would lose to everyone of these fighters, i even thought jermain would get him the second time around (although after one of his worst performances i doubt that now) he doesnt have the great power he thinks he does, his chin is obviously not as great as it was being hyped before the first taylor fight and he is very amateur. i just dont get why people respect this guys skills

i felt taylor would beat froch second time around too but i've changed my mind.
taylor's versatility was non-existent last night and he did nothing at all to try to unsettle AA as his confidence grew.

taylor's a good guy but he did exactly the same thing for 12 rounds and allowed abraham to open up.
