I agree that it is likely that Abraham will KO Froch, but wait to we see how he reacts to Froch, a genuine SMW landing on him.

What makes you think Froch will land anything of substance on AA? :think

Both AA or Kessler would beat him handily I feel. Probably by ko.

I give Froch a greater chance of beating Kessler and Abraham than against a fighter like Dirrell who is a nightmare for him (styles make fights etc). I'm not gonna say Froch will beat Abraham but Froch is a genuine smw and he will hit back rather than throw jabs all night but he better get those hands up against Abraham. I think the fight with Abraham is a case of who lands the bombs first and the straight right of Froch's, if it lands, will hurt Abraham. But Abraham looked liked a machine last night but Froch will relish that kind of fight more than a Dirrell fight and he'll raise his game.

Froch v Kessler is a closer fight than people think. Kessler wont walk through Froch but he will rightly be the favourite (provided he gets past Ward in November, not a cakewalk). But these two fights will have Froch training and working harder than ever and he has got the tools and the power to win these fights.

    I for one cannot wait.

completely agree with theuppercut that AA and MK are not foregone conclusions.

styles make fights and i reckon carl will put up a good show , should be great fights win or lose.

The only thing I'm sure on is JT is out (practically), hes done after last night, so Ward and Kessler both have 2-3 points in the bank pretty much. Froch seems at this moment to be the second worst fighter of the tournament

Kessler-Ward - probably Kessler wins, but this is his second best opponent after Calzaghe, I wouldnt be suprised if Ward wins not because I think hes that great but I think KEssler is overrated and basic. Both have good defenses, Ward is maybe faster, better movement, more variety, nice counters, Kessler maybe stronger and the bigger puncher. I expect a close fight

Kessler-Froch - the difference between these 2 is Kessler has a defense and Froch is more unorthodox, maybe he has a punchers chance, I doubt it. Kessler UD

Dirrell-Abraham - Dirrell may be able to pull it off, Abraham is more accurate bigger puncher, better defense than Froch but just as slow, less workrate and shorter. I think Dirrell can win a UD or get KO'd - Dirrel UD

Abraham-Froch - a tough 1 Froch has a better workrate and uses angles Abrahams defense might not block, Abraham can be caught and hurt as Miranda hurt him. But he has the advantage in defense, Abraham KO

Ward-Taylor - maybe close early, Ward takes it down the stretch

Ward-Dirrell - Dirrell is faster and slicker imo and I think he'll win this

Honestly all of these are too hard to pick but I think Froch should be going out but if Dirrell loses those 2 hes through,

WHAT IF TAYLOR QUITS THOUGH??? If it goes tits up I have a feeling the tournament doesnt go the 12 rounds, if KEssler-Froch unify expect the winner to fight Abraham (if he wins)

One thing that's good about ths tournament is that you are possibly gong to get fighters fighting against styles their promoters would have had them avoid. Dirrell was possibly a very bad style match up for Froch.

Froch's power is looking suspect at world level, it's easy to plant your feet down and throw wild swings at domestic level.

Got lucky he knocked Taylor out in the last 14 seconds or he wouldn't be in this tourny probably.

Exactly what ive thought as the guy was coming through the ranks. Also his defensive reflexes are looking a but shopworn as he as moved through the ranks.

Have you ever actually seen an AA fight? This is exactly what won't happen!

First 4 rounds AA will keep his defence tight, land the odd opportune jab. Everyone will think he's not doing enough to win. Rounds 5-7 he'll slowly increase his workrate and start to boss proceedings a little. Rounds 8-12 he'll be landing smart bombs at every available opportunity. It's how every AA fight goes.

Froch will be lucky to see round 9. He's a KO waiting to happen.

On a side note - the tournament is ****ed.

Taylor is a busted flush at this level and most likely will not fight in it again. You can bring another fighter in, but then he'll have 1 less fight than everyone else.

IMO the matchmakers buggered it up. First fights should have
    been:
    Taylor/Dirrel
    Froch/Ward
    Kessler/Abraham

Two days ago most here would have put Froch in the top 2 or 3 favourites to win the whole thing.

Seriously, he's probably losing his next two fights badly. Kessler and Abraham are just way too good for him.

Maybe he still goes through but I doubt it.
