People keep going on about the rabbit punching. The guy was constantly trying to suck Carl's dick and hug him to death. If he keeps bending down so you only have the back of your head shown what are you suppose to do?

The ref should have stepped in and tell him not to bend his head down like that... and all the running as well.

All these Dirrell threw more punches than Froch and make out he threw like loadsa punches. They both didn't throw jacks because Dirrell keep running and diving.

I think Dirrell's whole game plan was to survive the fight and make a respectable showing. I don't think he thought he could win at all.

I am going to bet when he does come up against a quality fighter and don't run he will get ktfo. I think he knows if he got caught just a little Froch would have put him away.

Froch coming forward, throwing and missing isn't enough to win rounds. Dirrell outlanded him consistantly through the entire fight.

If you were insane enough to watch that drivel again you would see that Froch landed a few reasonable shots on Dirrell during the entire fight. Dirrell looked a certainty to get knocked out if he didn't clinch. Then we see at the end that Dirrell can slip punches AND hit back. The reason he lost is that he only did it for two rounds.

Well, if you get a round where there were less punches thrown than light sparring, you are going to give it to the guy that is trying to fight then the guy trying to run away, diving and hugging.

The fact that Dirrell might have landed two punches to Carl's one punch in a round don't make a difference. wow he landed more punches. :p There was no bloody fight just seeing one person chasing another person around the ring. lol

Froch won because he was snatching the rounds with aggresion and jabs up until the 10th, 10 was a draw, 11 and 12 Dirrel stole.

Dirrel maybe won rounds 3, 11 and 12.

Anyway keep supporting these fighters who don't fight and kill the sport. Thank god Taylor and Pascal wanted to fight and made for 2 hugely exciting fights.

    Now beat it noob.

There's a difference between aggression and effective aggression. A two year-old child might be aggressive, but he certainly isn't going to hurt you. That's pretty much sums up Froch's performance last night. Lunging, winging akward looking, ineffecive shot all night. The guys I watched the fight with, who are not boxing fans, were stunned when they learned that Froch was a champion. They all thought he performed like a rank amateur. Also, Froch has to be one of the slowest champs in history. I mean, he is sooooo slow.

no.. the guys argument was that judges judge on forceful punches rather than output..

My point being Froch barely threw a forceful punch all night where as Dirrell had the higher output..

Read the full argument before jumping in next time.. :patsch
