ive just had a look at the schedule on the super 6 site and i was wondering what the deal was with the 3rd round fights and where they will be held? surely it will have to be on mutual ground to keep things fair?

    im guessing it go's

    froch H vs dirrell A
    froch A vs kessler H
but then when he meets abraham in the 3rd round will it be germany or nottingham or mutual ground?

home advantage is gonna play a big part in this tournament after last night.

pretty sure froch vs abraham will be in germany. i think abraham and ward are at home for there 3 fights but its up to the promoters to strike a deal

    they should do it like

    Froch vs Dirrel (germany)
    Taylor vs Abraham (Nottingham)

    would be fairer

The fights will take place wherever makes the most financial sense. Don't bet on neutral ground being an option unless its the final and Vegas fancies the fight.

All this neutral ground stuff is fine in a utopian world but in reality its impractical.

Think about it mate. This tournament has to turn a profit for the TV company, the promoters and the boxers. What is the live gate going to generate for those 2 fights?

They could hold the fights in a phone box.;)

Mutual ground? Is that like a ring on a joint German/British owned boat in the middle of the North Sea?

Mick Hennessy's fabled negotiating skills will ensure that the Abraham - Froch fight is in....Germany.

germany would make more sense financially for both fighters. froch just does not have the popularity abraham has in germany

I caught the last 20 mins of that 360 programme before the fight, all these big mouth yanks bantering and Hennessy sitting quietly in the corner.

fights will be where the most tickets will be sold, if Dirrell could sell more then Froch in his home town then that fight would've been in the US.
